Designer of this game should probably rethink this feature, for now it's just a bad design decision
As with when this topic came up during the beta I have to side with how the game currently works on this one. The thing is it is a controversial issue with people on each side. The design team had to decide which way to go, and the community was split (from what can tell pretty much 50/50) on whether there should be a warning.
They came down on the side of "it is a rogue like, death happens when you don't pay attention and sometimes when you do" (I doubt that was the exact thought process)
It wasn't a bad decision, it was the decision that made the most sense at the time (and still does)
