(not a universal strat, and I'm sure it's known, as I knew about the dragon cannon, but I only encountered this the other day: Half dragon of TT, with a lot of patience, on a map with plants. Take dodging, and then spend an hour drilling a plant against some water, edge of the screen, something that won't kill it. Every 10th or so you'll dodge for 3 piety. End up +4 learning, buncha poison, 3 dodge/reflex potions, +50 gold (less if you tribute to get the first dodge), and a free 100 piety to convert to the god of your choosing)

thats really evil! Take a monk with shield and platemail and prep TT. Find a monster who weakens you or get punished by TT (thats not really hard, but the drawback is enormous) until you have 0 damage. Then get enough piety (25) to buy dodge and click on a lvl 1 monster to get infinite TT piety oO

After that you have a lvl 1 monk with 9 times poison strike, 4 hits of learning, 10% dodge and nice monk preps. Take one fortitude potion to negate the weakening and crush the place ^^

This works especially well on Naga City, because you will find lvl 1 weakening monsters there.

This is utterly broken oO Awesome find, booooooooooze!

Awesome way to break NC. Nice one, Nurator. And it works for every class (harder with rogue? I don't actually have the patience to do it with every class) (I mean, you still have to go downstairs, beat the level, and such, but 4 learning, 4 reflex/dodge, and 9 poison should certainly help).

Guys. This is absolutely  MONSTROUS. Seriously this might be the most hilarious OP exploit in the game right now.

I never knew TT didn't punish you if you took no damage.

Anyway, I just punched Tower of Goo to death. On Ick Swamp. WITH A VICIOUS TOKEN. I picked up unstoppable and parched. I killed Kinisch without any regen fighting. I was killing monsters 3-4 levels ahead with the vicious token. Not that it was enormously necessary. 4 levels of Learning. 6ish poison. More is overkill but possible. Just...

that was horrifying. I congratulate you all in your collected bizarre theorycrafting. I think we officially have our Ick Swamp VT exploit win.

So seems like that's a bug with negative bonus damage amounts: Having 0 damage shouldn't be possible.

Now to figure out if we should patch it quickly or not...

Well, I mean, I had 1000 weakening when I did my NC run. That's a lot of weakening. Kind of surprising I could walk.

(Interestingly, since I could see how many times I'd attacked and knew how much piety I had, I dodged much closer to 15% with my 10% dodge over the course of 1000 attacks. Not complaining there, either).

Darn........ patched. :)

edit: er, no. I just didn't understand what was going on, because I play drunk too much. But I did have a fun NC run with a Rogue... sure he couldn't get the infinite thing going, but he dodges a lot more often, so I still had 4 learning and a bunch o poison when I went down.
