Personally, I think the resized Rock Garden picture makes the page look fantastic. Definitely seems like an ideal compromise to me. What do you think, Tinker? (And welcome to the forums! :) )

This is just a nitpick just in case you really want to go all-out, but the pixellation was a little noticeable to me in the new Rock Garden. I don't know starting with a lower resolution and *then* taking a screen cap would lead to better results, but it's a thought.

It's amazing that the wiki is already so good. A lot of games have really patchy and useless wikis, and this one is anything but. Lots of props.

Hey, while we're on the discussion of the wiki, does anyone happen to have a high quality image of the original Trisword? I'd like to use it for a template to warn that a page may contain outdated information, hence the old trisword would be a perfect image.

Especially for the annotated playthroughs, which I don't want to delete but we really can't update, this would be a helpful template.

I just realized that I made a mistake in the screenshot for Namtar's Lair:
http://www.qcfdesign.com/wiki/DesktopDu ... r%27s_Lair
I cut the image too narrow, excluding the sidebar.

Though it did make me wonder... Is it better this way?

Now, a good deal of the screenshots seem to be outdated, and it would probably be nice to replace them gradually. But before we go blazing in and replacing them, I thought at least a bit of disucssion would be warranted. On NL, I should still have the original screenshot, so I can swap it back with the version with the sidebar; though if we feel that the version without the sidebar is better (read, better by a margin that makes the effort to replace also the non-outdated screenshots as well), probably now's as good a time as it gets to change it...

Plus, do we want to include screenshots of the fixed subdungeon stages that all vicious dungeons seem to have? I guess, when someone is playing Gaan-Telet for the first time, it's probably useful to know which tileset corresponds to which tower, because there are massive size differences (i.e. the cave level is huge, one of the best sources of mid-late game regeneration there).

Personally, I like the look of the pure map (without sidebar). Especially as the whole page is only about the map the sidebar is not important at all. So I think it is a good idea to update the other maps in this manner as well.

The gaan-telet subdungeons could be interesting, though I guess you want to create a new page for it. In that regard, the hard and vicious gaan-telet is now described in just one page. So either the vicious dungeon has to link to that page, or a new page for the vicious dungeon needs to be created. I think the first version should be fine.

On that note, I have noticed that the dungeons are ordered by their difficulty or unlock order in the main bar. Though this is neither intuitive nor anywhere stated. I think this order should be alphabetically, or have another structure, so that it is clear which the easy/hard/vicious dungeons are (and inside of those categories then alphabetically ordered).

IIRC, we originally kept the sidebar so we could highlight the boss and have his/her stats displayed within the image. Of course, as you can see from the images, this wasn't exactly adhered to as a standard. Back then very few dungeons had more than one boss so it did make some sense, but these days with multiple bosses being pretty standard not so much. I'd agree that it could be removed going forward. We need to replace many of the old images anyways (in many cases the map layout is now different so it's actually a bit of a high priority) so it's as good a time as any.
