After a second thought, I tink that there would have been a way to kill durr mixing corrosion and burning (which I didn't think of in game). I am not very good with these effects (is it possible to fireball him ?)

Edit : no, you can't fireball magic immune monster. So it would have required stacking enough corrosion on him, an then placed a monster at the right place with wonafit, to one shot him once you would have killed hurr.

Edit : Hmm. Corrosion adds to damage when sending something at a monster, but does not help removing the last health point. So it wouldn't work either

No, that's not possible. If you deal 0 damage to a boss by any means then the corrosion stacks won't do anything either.

Btw I think the challenge is doable, Herp loses one of his immunities when a bodyguard dies, and since HDs deal dual damage they can kill him in melee.

Too bad I saw today's spoilers, but I'm gonna put it to good use and NOT prep Taurog.

Didn't prep Taurog, and since he didn't spawn naturally the challenge was impossible. I naively assumed you only have to kill Herp the Foreman, which is hard enough given how he stays magically immune, but I pulled it off nicely with TT potions.
Nope, you must kill all 3 of them. So the daily boils down to you prep Taurog or lose.

The worst thing is that the dungeon spawned both Pisorff and Weytwut, but even those couldn't solve the problem.

It's a real bummer, if not for this I would have won with 5 badges and the whole map cleared.
On the bright side I went home with 100 gold thanks to TT.

@Astral, I just did a test run on Magma Mines to prove the same thing. I thought the immunity strip worked both ways but no, the henchmen never lose their immunities. Sorry that you had to spend your daily to try this out.

I'm a slut because I read the spoilers before playing. Early morning I thought, ok, let's talk about the last day's challenge, since I put up stuff for both the Vampire and the Bloodmage, but then flat on Lujo's post spoiled it for me. I never would have thought that the map will be designed in a way that makes winning without one specific prep impossible; so I cannot tell whether I would have prepped Taurog or not. (I normally play Half-Dragons with either GG or Taurog, so probably 50-50 chance that I would have prepped him, but not for the Corwardly trait but the base damage boost / resists.)

So, I guess, for my sake, I'll really stay clear of this thread (and, also the test version bug report one, as the spoiler was kindly re-posted there as well), because it just doesn't feel good having won this way.

Anyway, the map was not really nice. I thought that every 6-7 days there will be a killer map, designed to reset the streaks of the majority of the players, but this was... sinister.

The reason I spoiled it was because I DID prep Taurog - but the f****r didn't show up. I kinda ALWAYS prep Taurog on Half-Dragon, just about any post in the playthrough thread with Half-Dragon it's a Taurog Halfdragon. -.-

I wouldn't spoil it, but I was sorta trying to warn you guys not to play it at all, since it can screw you over even if you see it coming.

I know, I know, but I would've been quite a d**khead if I knew there was a bug of this caliber lurking around and not tried to warn folks, when you consider the challenge
