I don't think prep time is measured. Today I did some experimenting to test exactly that, opened the daily at 12:46, did some stuff till 13:46 and hit commence. Played for ~8 mintues and my end score showed that too.

I was supposed to mark my bosskill time too, but I completely forgot about that
I believe the vic screen counter stops when you kill your last boss, but the daily timer only ends when you go to the exit. So if you do anything between the two, that will show up as a difference.

I didn't do anything noteworthy this run, tried to play as casually as possible, popping Yendor and killing only +1 foes, but before I noticed I was back to +3 kills

I too forgot about the boss, but with 21 mana my health pots doubled as mana pots and I just spiked the guy down through the retaliate. Good times!

Didn't anyone go the other way around, prep Taurog just stomp the guy with melee?

I saw Mystera + TT + Gnome + Flame Magnet and had a real hard time seeing anything else. Tunnel vision sucks, Taurog meleeing would have been sweet.
