GG on Northern Desert; nice and easy one. Almost got too aggressive there with a low-level boss kill (tried to take Goo at level 5) and had to actually use a potion to finish the job. Finally broken my curse and hit that 20 win streak. Now watch as a misclick or another "funny" daily flushes that away tomorrow

Never really put in the time to learn Shifting Passages, so definitely expecting to get surpassed on this one. Really enjoyed it though, went full caster, Mystera, mage plate, blue bead, dragon soul, bm ring, whurrgarbl for ongoing burning stacks. I never really got to the point where I'd be able to tank a hit from a boss safely, but honestly the easy levelling and free hits from Namtar's Ward was worth it. That said, I did see a troll heart in a shop, so it would have definitely been interesting to find that at level 1 along with the troll heart and draco's heart preps. Blue bead wasn't as useful as it would be on different maps, at least to me, but still probably allowed me a couple extra fireballs. Overall reminded me why I like tinkers, I went from a generalist class to a super specific build because I could pick items.

Something's way off between the completion time on the run end screen and the one showed on the leaderboard, there's a 5 minutes difference for me o.O

Wasn't expecting competitive time on this one, mind you, but it's still really weird.

Anywho, getting kinda paranoid about missclicking my streak away so I played it extra slow and easy. Prepped up the hearts because lol health, found Mystera first, went around poisoning stuff and praticing my prediction of where the shifty bricwork would pop up. No alcove abuse this time, but I only spawned walls twice before the final mopup, felt really smug about my leet deduction skills ^^ Prop sto Darvin for the crash course last time!

Picked up Mystic Balance and Refreshment after 2 hits of magic, used mostly Apheelsick and equal parts halpmeh and firebal, some getindare towards the end, and I used most of the shop stuff for end game conversion dingage (also went Drac off the TT desecration for some playing around with the big health pool).

An oddly careful and methodical one for me, I'm preparing for some casual VGT clearing now that I've done the other... 615 class completion pips on this profile :)

Oh god. I hate that map. Maybe I'll try it tomorrow. I'm not in a rush...

Might be fun to have four hearts total (counting the presumed heart each race has naturally) though...

That was a close call! Been a long time since I played that map without wall removal and I didn't pay enough attention in class last time. ^_^

Wasn't able to finagle the conversion to Dracul (could have done it if I'd remembered I'd saved my transmutation seals to bust walls, thus avoiding pissing Mystera off with cleaning up hallways) so it was a bit closer than I'd have liked, but between refreshment and Goblin conversion bonus I had enough refills to blast my way through the map with resources left over.

I played some Goatperson runs today, and it sends chills through my spine if it comes up in the dailies again. The sheer number of runs I had to reset because I literally could not find a single remotely killable monster in time was gutwrenching. We were lucky with Slime Pits, which puts level 1 monsters in predictable locations. We may not be so lucky next time.

I think if we do get another Goat run it'll have one of the several things which just let him win, if not all of them strategically placed throughout the map. Wonnafyt, Ledger, Dagger, Yendor, and gods will also likely not include the really nasty ones. Slime Pits is quite nasty, but the Rock Garden one was very much stacked in the players favor. If the maps really are doctored the Goat map will be heavily doctored.

Also, I'm kind of sure the map generator tailors maps to some degree allready, elements tend to streak with noticable regularity even in non-daily play. Most folks prep, veto and stuff, but if you don't you'll notice the game serving you up with the right stuff in the right circumstances (haven't really tried to work exact details out if it's true then it's a likely bit complicated). Also, I can't imagine the devs custom tailoring every run for every daily what with their legendary bussiness and having hands full of serious work at any given moment, it's a bit unrealistic, I suppose a bunch of it is automated.

This map is always scary even when it goes well. I felt like Schadenfreude was my best bet for killing Tormented One, but I was concerned about Evolvia. It was sort of alright in the end, though. There was plenty of blood and some conversion fodder to spare for dings if I needed to stop and think about it.

With Blue Bead, Midas, and Dracul in the mix, killing for resources felt risky, but I didn't go overboard, relying on blood pools and mana potions more than Blue Bead and mostly ignoring Midas the whole game (other than holding on to it until I needed the space, that is). I held onto my transmutation seals, so I figured I was ok with a little cow-slaying for the boss fights if a wall went up in a bad place.

Early Gloves of Midas on a Tinker run... you can't make this up, huh? I also noticed a Whurrgarbl-Vamp Blade-Venom Dagger combo mid-run, so after Mystic Balance, I switched to Dracul (because yay vamp blade). Whurrgarbl and Vamp Blade almost make Venom Dagger look ok; with Tinker+Midas, the dagger is a total freebie anyway.

I think I went for Tormented One at 7-8. I killed some Meatmen in the upper-mid levels with the Apheelsik and then converted it, with blackspace getting sort of low, but with a lot of unbuilt walls, so that was nice.

While I was derping around after Evolvia for my Unstoppable and Prestige:2, a wall spawned over the Changeling Essence, but I think I could've exited the way I came in and still had it count as a win. And I had my Transmutation Seals. But still, kinda scary to see that for a second. I'm sort of high up the rankings for everything except for time, at least for now, but that just means I derped around a lot for the lulz.
