 I really ought to stop trolling the leaderboard.

Anywho, I went really slow and easy on this one, lots of pressure's off me since I rainbowed everything and started working on the wiki, so now I'm just enjoying the runs more. And my PQI's working again (in the sense that it's sending me to Vicious places, not in the sense that it's not swamping me with Goblin Thieves XD). Was a nice relaxing break, even forgot to mop up the popcorn and knock over altars and stuff...

You guys are slacking; there is no way I should be holding the #1 spot with that time :x

I took Transmutation rather than Translocation. Little known fact about Ick Swamp: it's one of the few dungeons where you usually cannot reach your prepared god easily. I felt the insurance against being trapped and unable to reach JJ for WEYTWUT was worth it. I stand by that decision, even though I missed those dwarven gauntlets as a result. Similar story for taking BURNDAYRAZ over Dragon Shield. Reliability over power.

Overall I was very slow this run, moving methodically across the map. I actually had unstoppable in the end; it's uncommon for me to have explored the entire dungeon in dailies, and I'm surprised no one has a better time yet.

it was a cool daily I felt like it was relatively intimidating just from me never playing a spell fighter I also when with the more reliable things like flame magnet the health and attack boosts I still think I missed several boosts from the plants hiding them

Eh, I'm watching my streak, and I've done so many fast forward aoutopilot crap chasing stuff out of the PQI, that I really wanted to do a Tinker on this one. Whenever I rush Ick what happens is that I turn it from the "lol easy" into "dang that map" because all you've got to remember is to clean plants before dings and that's what you forget because you generally don't have to do it.

So I went really nice, easy and relaxed. Also, Elf fighters and Orc Fighters are my permanent bottom PQI guys, and I was soooo happy that I got to play the non-Pissorf guy. If it was the Orc, I would've had my standard time, but the bugged PoS numbers, so I kinda thought I'd be playing this one for numbers. (Incidentally I've recently discovered that Binlor PoS owns Ick HARD. Makes 0 sense untill you try it, but then brix are shat. Pissorff removes plants cheaply, there's a plant next to any wall, you can take endiswall, and Itssamna just dissapears like he wasn't there.)

And another thing is that I went in purist, which would take the RNG giving me Al-Sahtup for a competitive timing on Ick. XD

That one made me a little nervous too. I did some crazy polytheism. I figured Fighter-GG start, why not? Lord of the Dings. Takes forever to convert out, and I didn't always remember to slap plants for poison-mana burn piety before leveling, either. Finally converted to EM at 5 so I could poison-fight the level 8 Meatman while I still had blackspace. I also used the opportunity to Translocate the mana keg, since I was now in a better place to think about using it.

Used a lot of piety and potions on ItsssssstoomanyS's. I took 3 Weakness stacks, too, but still went with Whupaz at the potion store - with mana keg and Mageplate in the mix and a Schadenfreude from the exploding signpost, I would probably wouldn't miss the damage as much as 25% of Frank's health anyway. This boss fight could've gone better, but I didn't have a ton of blackspace and EM wasn't clearing the right plants fast enough anyway, so I just potion-bombed it with only a couple potions and a DP to spare.

Too close for my tastes. I probably could've gotten 10 mid-bossfight if I'd listened to Darvin and prepped FIreball, but then again, the Dragon Shield might've offset that consideration and then some, so idk. I did have bad explorer's luck with the fireball, though.

Leaderboard is more fun than I thought. It's weird that there are under 2k people listed total, and less than 1k players with wins. If this were League of Legends, I'd be SIlver 3 or something, but that's good enough for the top 10-20. I guess I'm used to leaderboards with meaningless numbers like 493,172 out of 1,659,774 or whatever. Still, I thought more people would be on the boards. There's no way that 2k is even close to 10% of total DD sales, and yet here's a free upgrade that's been tried out by that few many people...

Desktop Dungeons is an Indie Game; having a few thousand people daily is a pretty big following for a mostly singleplayer title. You can also check out the stats page. It's rather sobering, showing that a huge portion of the overall gameplay occurs in the tutorials. While I'm sure a lot of that is new players restarting the tutorials a few times, it does show that the game has a steep learning curve and the people actually hitting the later dungeons (especially vicious) are in a minority. Doubledoom's high win % leads me to believe most people don't even unlock that dungeon.
