Platemail is not bad for Rogues

The key is to know when to buy it and when it convert it to maximize its advantages and dodge its disadvantages. I bought the platemail immediately after using first strike to kill form 1, and converted it to land a cleansing first strike finisher on form 3. The only monsters I fought in between were popcorn monsters that I beat through natural striking order anyways.

Should have taken warrior pact, though. I was just coming up short a few hit points of where I wanted to be, and had basically limitless piety to fuel it from the GG/Halfling combo.

I guess I just wanted to be a Dwarf. I needed something to get hits in, and Taurog wasn't going to be enough.

I found Taurog first, and then pactmaker, and well, I don't use Warrior's Pact often but halflings like it. Totally wrecks your piety though...

Oh, and that Vampire was kind of... Magma Mines Half Dragon ended my streak last time around, wanted to see what'll happen. Found Endiswall and stole Draco's heart, it was a nice run...

Lol that's really lucky. Can't complain though, I had 3 in a row against the final from.

I found GG at lvl 2, potion/piety shenanigans allowed me to take 8 absolutions and humility right off the bat. Stayed at GG for most of the game, by lvl 7 I could take Enlightenment for more health and enough MR to naturally survive bosshits. Anoobis 1 and 2 has magical attack, so my Endiswall couldn't help, but it was amazing for power leveling and opening the secret sub, which btw was the blacksmith one.

Even though I was swimming in popcorn it was all unneeded, killed the 1st 2 form with melee and a bit of halpme, and due to the 3 unexpected dodges killed the Phys resist form with melee hits too. The only boon I took was a single protection.


In my opinion Halfling Rogues as great thanks to the numerous deities they work well with and Platemail is an awesome item for them. You still get to first strike your popcorn and if you have any way of slowing your enemy you can get an extra hit against bigger stuff too. I especially love EM Halfing Rogues, they have huge health and sizable damage reduction to boot.

^ Halfling Rogue is, I find, great with many gods, but very workable for high-end faithelss shennanigans with Alchemist Scroll. Oddly enough. Halflings make good badgehunters for any badge except hoarder because they have a lot of different ways to channel resources. If that's the word. Can't use potios? Turn them into piety! Can use spells? You're a melee monster! Can't use gods? You're a walking Drac altar! And you can also boost the health with the Scroll! Etc etc.

Todays daily was qite breezy, I don't have the numbers but I got a sack of badges without trying to get them... Dwarf Bloodmage with Vineform Spam, btw.

Dwarf Bloodmage, Northern Desert

Pretty easy. No shenanigans, just straightforward regen-fighting powerhouse. I took my mana potions early for once, both because it boosts Sanguine and because there were some ideal targets for early mana potion kills, like level 7 or 8 Shades. Was something like level 5 with 3/4 of the map unexplored still.

Dracul was kind of pointless at first, but eventually I found out the second boss was Tower of Goo, and there were a Tower Shield and a Martyr's Wraps in the stores. Pactmaker: Consensus and the resistances thingy let me convert into Mystera after Blood Shield, but I accidentally took like 5 punishments when I went for Unstoppable afterward, not that it mattered. Lots of unused blood was leftover. I could've gone Earthmother, but it costs 10 blood pools just to convert out, so lolol no.
