Thanks. Wow, I didn't think I'd survive such a tough weeding, but this map was crying for billiards IMO. I'm really surprised that Lujo didn't do something similar only twice as efficiently.

I was talking the whole time, but my microphone was off somehow. A lot of it was swearing and wondering if I should just convert my Slaying Wand, Viper Ward, and a potion right off the bat... (but which potion???)

I took an unusually long time in Rock Garden, but I didn't want to blow a streak the day after a weed-out map.

The magic golem was looking to be the real problem, obviously. I'm not sure I picked the best preps, but I like Avatar's Codex and it seemed like it would work on an Elf Monk. It wasn't bad I guess. I did make the mistake of pumping physical resists to 75% and then wasting a Schadenfreude by casting a fireball on Super Meat Man, though... Could've just bought a mana potion. X-D

Anyway, Alchemist's Seal was kind of nice on this map too, but I don't know if that was my Elite Item prep or not. Early Midas for free CP was also swell.

Right, okay, after the embarrassing splat with the goat, I decided to go a bit more careful with today's run (15/05 - Elf Monk on Rock Garden). Well, no, actually, that's a lie, I took the codex in, so not careful at all. At the time I finished this run I was first at 12m44s, but that's not going to last long, I should have been able to do it much easier, even though I figured codex would have synergy with monk, it's really bad against wraiths, and I couldn't find a lot of things aside from goos that I could level from. I totally forgot how the Guardians worked, I was expecting the Magma Mines boss gimmick, and ended up expending all my blackspace by the time I killed one of the bosses, killed the other using most of my resources, then realised I was up against SMM with no resources. Once he was at 2-300 hp I was out of resources, had a little bit of exploration stuck behind high level enemies and plants, so I had to mana burn myself to go into the last of blackspace, where I found a pot of health in a shop. Felt pretty close though, ended up having to take consensus and try for a last chance before I realised I could safely regen a bit.

Magic golem was definitely a pain. I held on to PISORF because I didn't see any other way other (with some help from Pactmaker). Luckily a chain of wall tiles isn't hard to come by, nor is it hard to hit 10.

Well, that was much less stressful. Went JJ with Elven Boots then spent the first third of the map running into approximately no monsters and JJ picking all of his worst punishments. Began using the Wicked Guitar to up the appearing golem and keep levelling smoothly. Punched Meaty to death starting at level 4 with the venom dagger, finished him at level 5, then picked up Piercing Wand and just dinged to an easy victory.

"Thinker", just without the "ache".
