I'd agree that was fun, although I horribly misplayed the chemist and basically was just leveraging JJ for all he was worth. I screwed up my sequencing at the end and used Chaos Avatar before my potions, which cleared the debuffs given by JJ and thus took away my Naga Cauldron bonus. Oh well, still more than enough resources to finish it.

Also, we really need to get the top 10 back in shape. C'mon guys, pick up your streaks.

Ick, Gnome Chemist? Not looking forward to it... But I'll have to remember not to be stingy with the mana potions (except for when I need to heal...)

This class is weird. Usually I spam BYSSEPS and ignore the potions. It's far from optimal, but when I go Mana Form it doesn't seem to end well, and I can't fireball fast enough to win. Doubledoom isn't usually the worst dungeon, though.

Is there something about the Chemist that I don't know about, because I ended up losing the run which would have been easy because eventually my mana potions restored only 1 mana rather than whatever they were supposed to give.

I'm not sure if it was Mana Form, because it says Double Mana Regeneration/No Health Regeneration, which shouldn't affect my potions. Either that or the Naga Cauldron bugged up and set Potion restoration rate to negatives when something else of JJ comes into the picture?

Would've killed for a LEMMISI. Jorgmunder almost gave me a heart attack. When you find the boss with very little blackspace remaining in a Chemist run, you are in TROUBLE. Wowzers.

I really should've saved Chaos Avatar just in case, but I blew it on Stone Man. Luckily a Strength Potion, a full stack of BYSSEPS, and some incidental aid from Blue Bead let me kill Jorgmunder in two hits with a few fireballs on the side. The blackspace saved up in the subdungeon helped a lot, enough to stack 4x BYSSEPS in mana form, charge a fully-powered Strength potion, and still refill again on top of that. I feel like I know a lot more about Chemist now - Strength potion is good, and fighting bosses early-ish is good. But it's still a terrifying and tricky class for me as far as dailies go. HALPMEH would've been really nice, but I lived regardless. Those practice runs I did when I saw what the class/race/map was helped, I think.

Wow, win rate's about as low as the other day's Labyrinth one and it's a much nicer setup. People not being experienced with Chemists not having the endgame spike in case you play sloppily along the way, I guess?

@MTaur, you can realistically start regen-fireballing a boss at level 8 (32 damage+burning vs. 27 regeneration) as a Chemist with no other considerations, and doing it at a decent speed at probably level 9. A few layers of Corrosion, Battlemage Ring, Mystic Balance and Flames all reduce the threshold by about a level each. A Mystera Chemist with a BM Ring and Flames can regen-fireball at level 5 (30 damage vs. 22.5 regeneration) about as well as a vanilla Chemist at level 8; at level 6 (36 vs. 22.5) I think they're about as good as a level 10 vanilla chemist (40 vs 27).

Basically, if you have a boss you really want to regen fireball to death you either need to hit a high level before you start the fight or go with Mystera for it.
