I've updated the Shifting Passages article on the wiki. There was already one sentence on preventing wall formation, so I added some more details. Should help other people out.

Pretty easy for a tough dungeon and the winrate seems to match up to it. Gnome Warlord has no trouble at all with Evolvia and is perfectly suited to Bleaty. Having Mystera and Wonafyt on the map improves the spike and reduces the chance of an inexperienced player getting clogged to death behind a level 8 Changeling or such.

Went for Unstoppable today. The character / glyph spread / altars / preps were so generous that I would have felt bad leaving anyone alive. I only triggered the walls 2-3 times, otherwise I could guess well where they would form (there are sneaky curves in the corridors which are not always predictable, the only solution to that would have been to teleport every single monster into a safe "killtile", though). Did I mention how awesome Gnomes were? :P

@haaxtus, sorry for your loss :( Shifting Passages is sneaky like that, despite best efforts it can box you up like that.

@Blovski, I'm not sure about the winrate. It's cca. 30% now that I'm looking at it, with about 60% of the day gone. Really easy dungeons can have well over 50% win rates (I think 2 days ago we had something like 80%). It's not a "weeding" type hard dungeon, but I do think it's pretty hard for most of the casual players.
"Thinker", just without the "ache".

@haaxtus - those warlord changelings can be problems. A shame you didn't locate WEYTWUT or PISORF earlier. I made a point of moving all the high-level changelings off to the side of the dungeon so they wouldn't block me, because that exact situation was the most likely scenario to cause a loss. You seem to have explored counter-clockwise, whereas I explored clockwise, so I found them early while you got blocked before you found them.

Yeah, this is definitely a Bad Luck Brian map, though it is possible to lessen the odds of disaster.

Halfling Tinker, Rock Garden

Not a hard map, really. Three bosses, but two of them aren' t bad as long as you have enough mixed damage. Spammed WONAFYT a lot early on and killed a lot of slowed same-level enemies as I went along. Went a bit slow because I took Codex and BURNDAYRAZ was hiding for more than half the level. Hilariously, the physical resist boss was hiding too, and I did him *last*. That was easy, but Lord Gobb was a pest, and the MR boss took a lot of regen-fighting (with PISORF for damage). Lord Gobb was first, and I used Chaos Avatar on him. Platemail + Avatar's Codex made both my resources drop at about the same rate in that fight, so the setup was pretty well rounded overall. Tiny Battlemage Ring was nice too. The Tony Danza Award was easy to get after the third boss went down effortlessly to 3-4 fireballs, but there were too many plants to bother trying for Unstoppable without more commitment than I wanted to put into it.

With JJ to avoid getting stuck, there was little threat other than the that of a misclick here. He did hammer me with two hits of weakening and poison, so I decided to pick up a fortitude tonic to clear that. The rest of the map was all downhill. With heavy fireballs for the physically-resistant boss and Lord Gobb, and PISORF for the magically resistant boss, all the tools needed to dominate this run were present. I barely even touched my potions and never needed chaos avatar. Went for unstoppable in the end because I felt like it :-)

This is actually the first time I ever used Avatar's Codex (never thought it worthy to be lockered), and I found BURNDAYRAZ on the last blackspace...

The deity and store spawn are all very good and have great variety. Really fun to play with many viable strategies. If not for the Codex I'd probably convert from MA to Taurog for a laugh. In the end I converted to Dracul for some end-game potion piety gain shenanigans. I think I converted about 20 Health Potions... :?

JJ is actually a very good combo with the Avatar's Codex, since slow cancels fireball retaliation. Simply pre-slow the intended target, regenerate your mana, then you get your first fireball for free. Fireball also has priority over retaliation, so your last fireball is also free in any event. It's definitely a very specific item, but also a very powerful one. I rarely use it personally, but I do keep it lockered because it's such a unique item.
