Goblin Bloodmage with a favorable load of glyphs, deities, shop items, and ideal boss. I felt like I was playing extremely sloppily, but there really was nothing in this run that could stop that engine once it got running.

You're thinking along the right lines; it's Medusa. Aequitas, Tormented One, Bleaty (PISORF and CYDSTEPP are both available), and Tomithy would also be very easy.

Actually, with APHEELSIK and HALPMEH also available, I guess you can add Ironman and Super Meat Man to the list. Y'know what, it's not Frank, let's just leave it at that :-P

I wasn't able to get Unstoppable, but I guess that's not the point with Goblin Bloodmage. I'm just glad the boss wasn't hiding or a big-time magic resist boss. It took a lot of blackspace and some level-ups to do it, but I didn't use too many potions either. Only mana potions because I wanted more Sanguine anyway, but I didn't chug them all. (Started with a keg)

I made Dracul pretty happy, but I didn't use him for much. Kind of a waste. Might've been better off not prepping him, since I prepped caster gear and the prep penalty was a little mean.

Oh. There's a Dracul preparation.
And I didn't prep it :?

The monster layout is kind for Grimm's Grotto. No high-level blockoffs early game, and great glyphs/items all around. Just a pity Binlor's a bit hard to find. TT's pretty great though. Fueled me enough for an easy Unstoppable.

Now I'm interested in a GG Bloodmage run... I think it should be doable today as well, but I prepped Bloody Sigil and get a bit queasy with the thought.

I hit 2 lifesteal and 50%+ sanguine and Blood Shield without using the piety boon (not to mention Blue Bead being on the board), most of my bloodpools still around after clearing the map, took a level 9 Gorgon at level 4-5 and the boss at 6-7 mostly using lifesteal for it. Kinda wish the boss had been harder to justify it.

Today was a bit of an overkill... Didn't touch any blood pools (except the ones I couldn't walk around) and finished & mopped up without much difficulty. I went with default altars and used all of them during the game! (yes, even GG, I don't recommend it though, because there are tiles where you don't see the blood pool like stairs, boss trophy, etc., and he does punish blood drinking quite severely... But Humility on a Bloodmage just felt like a novelty... ;) )

Huh. That run had me psyched out; I was all hyped about bloodmage, took the keg, and prepared to have a blast.... and then realized that I didn't start with BURNDAYRAZ. I normally never play purist Bloodmages, and the idea of having fireball on a non-orc caster from the getgo is so ingrained in my mind that I just sat there and was like "uh.... now what?? Do I... hit things?". Grimms Grotto being my last played dungeon and unfamilarity with goblins probably didn't help.
Found BURNDAYRAZ at level 4, proceeded to potionspike my way through the dungeon, and cleaned up the board afterwards.

14/06/2015 - Halfling Thief in Havensdale Bridge
Another easy one to curbstomp. I chose Mystera to balance halfling healing potions with her refreshment, and the generous glyph pool facilitated this. Lujo should enjoy using PISORF to clobber those bosses, which begin practically side-by-side.
