Slowest run I've had in a long time. Normally I'd go EM with Hexx Ruins but felt like trying Enlightenment with all the discussion. I managed to get it with a grand total of 2 beads and a humility on one of the most favoured class/race combos to leverage it around level 8-9... having Agnostic's Collar to build up piety afterwards. The 3 Fireball pool was nice but I don't think it added much JJ wouldn't have.

Today's run confirms two (plus one) things. One, I'm very stubborn. Two, I'm very, very stupid. Off to get some dye as I'm naturally not blonde (but I deserve to be after today). Three - and yes it will hurt for me to say this - I don't think I could've won today's Daily with any other race, only the Goblin. Ouch - it did hurt.

So still at Level 1, after I joined GG, picked up a couple of shots of Absolution and killed my first L2, I noticed how Stheno is sitting on a ground sparkle. I was like, hey, I'll just push her a bit to the south, so I can pick up that Piety point. Well, I learned something new today - PISORF-ing her onto an empty tile is still considered an "attack", mighty screech and all. So there I was, a Level 1 Goblin Tinker, on a completely empty level, with two bosses looking at me (one of whom had 90% of both resists). It wasn't the highlight of my DD career - I must confess, my heart kind of sank. I verbally abused myself a bit (ok, a bit more even), and then I walked over to the stairs to retire.

But then I said to myself - Tinkers never give up! Good thing I'm also stubborn:

This has been, officially, the tightest and most challenging Daily I've ever played. I think I earned my Diligence Reward. I don't think I'll top any metric today. And now I'm off to dose myself a bit. Don't ask.

So... Smacklefunky's, Martyr Wraps, Endiswal... no Corrode/Knockback antics... I can see that being doable but I'm sure I'd have given up way in advance. I discovered the Pisorf thing in a similar nearly-ended run, albeit with a Rat Monarch so it worked out OK.

Never knew Stheno reacted to PISORF that way. That's very good to know. Good work pulling that out of the fire, Tinker. I've had a few close calls on the dailies, some of which I've recovered and a few of which I have not (infamous Half-Dragon in Magma Mines <_<)

Was it a 100% resists kill? How did you kill more things afterward?

Thanks Darvin!

@Mtaur, yes, extra monsters came from the sub. I budgeted 12 gold for monsters, but put off buying them as long as possible to maximize their XP worth. In the end I didn't need them to kill the bosses, still I bought them afterwards just to feel like playing a normal DD game. And hoping I'd not end up dead last in XP.

It's good that I've been playing lots of Rats lately, so my mind is pretty much onto Corrosion stacking. Martyr Wraps were really essential to pull this off.

Anyway, enough DD for me for today, off to replay Life is Strange instead... Hope nobody else makes the same mistake I did! ;)

Wow very impressive Tinker! Actually I think being last on XP is much harder than being first, in a winning run of course, losing doesn't count. At time of writing you got that record Tinker! Congratz! (Though only by 2 XP) :D

Wow.
Congratz on pulling through Tinker; that's prolly one of the most impressive wins I've seen.

On a sidenote, Stheno is not the only one reacting to weird things; Getanadafix spawns plants if you teleport him with WONAFYT. The effects are not comparable, but I've found it odd.
