Orc Berserker, Havendale Bridge

GG early, Taurog late. Really nice combo for this map - magic boss and Tolkoshe charms to hit the 65% ceiling easily. Lord Gobb isn't that bad as a random boss, either.

Paid the toll. CP from Sensation Stone would've been nice, but I was saving popcorn and all the high-level druids were across the bridge anyway. Magic zombie was effortless with one level-up. Quickly went into Taurog, cleaned popcorn, got the items, and then did Consensus and the resists boon and slapped a few goblins to earn some physical resistances, together with the armor. Converted Troll Heart, converted my glyphs, converted the charms (no longer needed). Bought an unneeded Keg of Health, but sometimes it just feels good to see the enormous pile of resources after you've already won. I was either going to use my CYDSTEP DP from earlier, or I was going to use a health potion. Went with the health potion just because I didn't feel like using a DP.

Anyway, paying the toll is easy, and Taurog has you covered. You can even start Taurog, but GG lets an Orc Berserker land some really sick bonus XP kills with Humility, and you know for sure that you'll have 65% MR regardless for the first boss, leaving plenty of time to convert to Taurog later. (And if the second boss had been Tower of Goo, then you could stay with GG for the Consecrated Stike buff!)

Ugh, wasn't thinking clearly. I thought either GG orTaurog would be in the default altar spawn and didn't bother prepare them, and then bought the Dwarven Gauntlets at first sight. Would be an awkward fail against the Troll if Orc Berserker isn't so strong early on...
And then I promptly left the Sensation Stone on the ground for "conversion under GG for maximum profit". Only remembered it after the game ends. Oh well.
Somehow still got above average XP. Thank you TT for some late game piety gain.

Orc Berserker on Havendale... with Taurog as a prep... and Dracul and Dwarven Gauntlets on the board... that literally could not be easier. You can punch Goo to death with that setup. Honestly I think you can probably punch Goo to death with just Taurog. That's how I got the VT on this map.

Edit: Celebrated by prepping only Taurog on Northern Desert and punching Goo to death Warmonger (not to mention straight up killing Aequitas at level 5). Have concluded it's probably not realistic on a harder dungeon but with more or less anything worthwhile to dip into after Taurog you're not going to have a problem. I've missed Berserkers.

Went GGzerker today, not much to write as it went down pretty much how it should, could afford lots of high-level kills, pity there were no L7+ Druids... ;)

Little private celebration for me: I just surpassed my last streak! So as of today I'm in uncharted territory! Yay! ;)

Btw whatever happened to user "RemitThisUpdate"? (s)he had one of the best streaks, and just disappered off the leaderboard without losing any games, apparently didn't turn in yesterday's Daily. Hope everything is OK...

Wish streaks didn't end on skipping dailies.

The daily was fun as always. I prepped up to have high CP and attack bonus, picked Dracul for monstrous endgame. The starting side was barren in terms of high level monsters and altars and because I wanted to play parched I almost took an early Blood Swell against the troll. Slayed a couple of popcorn and dinged instead, this gave me piety for Bloodshield too. Otherwise I didn't really touch Dracul's boons, sanguine was too early and unneeded, lifesteal ruins the magic resistance etc. For a while the biggest impact of Dracul was preventing acid pools from appearing :P
Since I bought Plaremail pretty early I played most of the map by regenfighting. Could have used Pm for more resistances but my piety game would have been horrible ad I was interested about my last altar too. The bosses turned out to be jokes, they died to regenfighting at lvl 6 and 7 before I even located TT, so never had to join him. For fun I took a very late Spirit Pact to see how far I can rack damage - almost made it to 180.

Btw I wanted to mention a fun way to kill the guards on Magma Mines, tried it on yesterday's daily. Before delivering the killing blow to the magic immune one cast a fireball to physically immune - this way they'll die an explode at the same time. Doesn't save resources or anything, just looks cool.
On the Human Monk run it happened to grant me some extra bonus xp too. Due to Imawall I would have level up on the first kill, but this way I sneaked in a 2nd one Tinkerstyle.
Somebody spilled raspberry juice all over the place!

I wouldn't mind a buffer. Say, you can be at most a week behind, and you have to play all of your backlog before going on. Your streak would be frozen until you win/lose/forfeit the backlogged dailies.

Of course, this would be somewhat involved programming-wise, and it isn't exactly owed to us or anything. It's just an idea that would make the dailies more friendly for when life intrudes.
