Congrats - Anoobis is actually quite a bit harder than multiple bosses with the same stats would be because his forms don't grant XP, I believe.

Anoobis really hurts if you run out of exploration. Gnome Warlord can at least spam mana potions when it comes down to the end, but if you can't explore up to 100% after the first two forms, it's a pain. Not having trophies for shopping also hurts. I had to convert to TT just so I could earn 10 gold to buy Elven Boots for the last form. Mana potions and fireballs.

I think Rock Garden was a lot easier. Instead of one three-part boss with low stats, you get two bosses out of three having guaranteed low stats, and they both grant lost of gold and XP. Creeplight is a dungeon I usually win on, but it still stresses me a little. I didn't really expect a high winrate.

Ugh, lost my forum log-in. I won't retype everything, but I'll try to catch the main points.

Elf Tinker, Cursed Oasis

Fairly hard as far as Hard dungeons go IMO. Battlemage Ring isn't great against the Retaliate:Fireball main boss. Shop items didn't give damage or MR, either. Shop items were really refill-heavy: Fire Heart, Blue Bead, and Vamp Blade. Between those and level-up heals, I was able to beat the bosses. Thanks to the Tinker passive, I was able to find and kill Glenrick at level 1 with HALPMEH, leveling up twice without popping into the Cursed Realm, lulz

I went full Mystera, and for the second boss fight, I converted Battlemage Ring and relied on HALPMEH for the boss fight, converting BURNDAYRAZ with Refreshment. Having some popcorn still alive was crucial, since I had Blue Bead/Vamp Blade/Fire Heart and only Hero Helm for damage. I burned almost all of my potions in the end, and I was unfortunate to find the first boss hiding in literally the last unexplored accessible tile. But it was ok.

5/10 winners in this DERP so far. Most of them are verified veterans. This one is rough, and you need good fundamentals to leverage the shop pool well. I did a good-enough job, but I'm sure a lot of the veterans will do even better, as this is not one of my stronger dungeons.

I got quite a few shinies out of my elite item preparation. I used the shoplifting scroll on Yendor's Amulet, and bought the dwarven gauntlets(I don't remember the other items. I think I got an alchemist scroll too, and the hero's helm). I mostly used PISSORF against the main boss.

Cursed Oasis always surprises me when it comes up because it seems like a gimmick for a Vicious dungeon, though really as a whole it's not Vicious level difficulty. I really didn't expect to go heal mage with this setup, making my battlemage ring look stupid, but with a Tinker Elf and a prepped JJ those bars get huge, especially with Jadetooth around. Right now I'm the only person on the top ten time list to prep JJ instead of Agnostic's Collar, even though I got up to get food out of the oven, though the enigmatic "DICKLORD" is sitting at first with his usual Purist run.

Well, nice to have some vengeance after my Elf Tinker faceplant over the weekend. With Yendor in the shop pool, Jadetooth's potion, the Fire Heart, WEYTWUT popcorn, and JJ chaos avatar there was so much full restoration here that you could steamroll this dungeon five or six times over. On top of this, Tinker makes finding Glenrick at 1st level very likely (as it happens, I did kill him at level 1) for some nice early momentum. I ended Parched and decided to take a little bit of extra time to go for unstoppable. Never did need to use Jadetooth's potion or Yendor, either.

Only tricky part today was balancing power-leveling with staying out of curse realm, since there was an unusually high concentration of Bandits. Just don't get too greedy; you can take on one of the level 7's and one of the level 9's, but going for both may be pushing it (unless you're willing to consume popcorn very early).

This might be the easiest Cursed Oasis run yet. Basically went the same way Darvin did except I prepped Binlor for Stone Fist and a no-string-attached JJ conversion. I translocate Dwarven Gauntlet and bought Troll Heart at level 1, and with
HALPMEH+Fireheart+Jadetooth I simply Specialist the Cursed Dragon in a few punches.

In fact I was level 9 when I started fighting the Curse Shade, and finished it as a Chaos Avatar'd level 10. If only every Cursed Oasis is this easy, sigh...

Probably should have bought Yendor for the XP stat, but I dumped all the money to TT piety. Not that matters much, but you gotta admit 300+ XP looks pretty. :P

Okay..so no two in a row...but I did somehow miscount and actually have a whopping four wins so far. :-)

Now this tinker thing.... I didn't win...essentially ran out of options in the cursed realm and couldn't get back...but I could have retired very wealthy...I had tons of money and nothing useful to spend it on.

Is it safe to say that you should always enable the elite item option when you get a tinker? I did alright, but couldn't get any real traction to battle the big guys. Figured I missed out on some power items. I was worshiping JJ and had no problems getting piety.

Were the big ticket items the difference between success and stuck?
