To be fair, Zazzlegut, Cursed Oasis is a tough dungeon (behind Labyrinth, Hard Gaan-Telet and maybe Shifting Passages if you don't know the tricks to it I think it's the third or fourth most difficult 'Hard' dungeon) -

My general advice - as Tinkers, prepping Elite Items is almost always worth it. On a Daily, the Apothecary might be equally valuable. You can translocate Yendor or Zot, Elven Boots and Dwarven Gauntlets are both big whole-game power items, Kegs are great, Alchemist's Seal is great for halflings or gnomes and tinkers can usually afford all of these. Another note as Tinker is that you'll want to buy items just for the CP a lot of the time.

I think with today's run confident JJ worship and understanding the curse mechanic on this map probably makes a lot of difference, as does knowing that fireball is not worthwhile against the dragon boss, so you want to keep another combat glyph for the endgame. Finding the Good Glenrick subdungeon early would also be really helpful and easy for a Tinker. As always in Cursed Oasis, save as much blackspace in the subdungeons as you possibly can, because you're going to want to explore almost all of the map before you fight the Curse Shade.

This map is kind of tricky from a monsters perspective. It's always worth knocking down Animated Armour death protections as you go. High level bandits are definitely your best catapults *but* can leave you stuck in the curse world, so treat them with caution. Thralls are really tough and it's sometimes a good idea to weaken a mid-level Thrall before you level up so you can snap it up and clear curse. Kill Shades (if practical) when you need to clear curse in the bottom side of the map, as you'll lose access to them and their XP once you beat the Curse Shade.

---

JJ + Halpme + Dwarven Gauntlets... I had a 25 mana pool, nearly 200 health and Yendor and a Chaos Avatar *and* popcorn left over and TT still on the map. Was truly thoroughly ridiculous. Even converted Fireball and just punched the Shade to death.

Out of interest, how does it work if you push the Curse Shade onto the Curse Dragon's tile then pick up the soul to decurse yourself? (I imagine there's nothing to be seen here but still it would be decidedly cutesy).

So, the ipad Daily was Hexx Ruins Goblin Transmuter.

I am new and not bragging since this took very little skill but I found it hilarious.

Right at the beginning I found WONAFYT, the balanced dagger AND IMAWAL. Normally this would be pretty good, but I could abuse the Revenants for IMAWAL and save my popcorn as well.

I fought only one monster above my level. So very very silly.

Yay, more Elf Tinker. I wouldn't mind having Tinker every other day. Shop shenanigans are fun.
With Elf and JJ, PISSORFing the dragon was a fairly easy way to manage the beast.

I probably should've taken Fire Heart instead of Mystera though. Full HP restore seems worth more than 30 piety.

Argh now that Jadetooth's silly retaliate fireball got me :( Darn, that is what you get when you feel too safe... :/

Man, Astral has some guts. Doing the July 1 daily Purits. With the 100+ streak. If I didn't know his DD genius, I'd say he's hexing... ;)

Orc Warlord, Cursed Oasis

Again?

Screwed up and killed myself early on a level 5 Bandit. He had 19 damage and I had 20 health, but I didn't think to check if JJ had given me any corrosion stacks. He did, and I didn't recast CYDSTEPP.

Well, that was a scare. JJ hit me with a curse at an unexpected moment, and I was completely boxed in by high-level wraiths! Thank goodness I had enough mana after activating my potion to activate CYDSTEPP and use my bear mace to knock stuff out of the way, or that would have been one of the most unlikely game-enders ever @_@

Anyways, Warlord is one of the ideal classes for Cursed Oasis and the layout and glyph pool is fairly generous. Hit 20 mana easily thanks to the Elven Boots.

Ugh. Cursed Oasis again? At least Warlord doesn't really care about Curse...and default glyph/dieties are pretty good.
There's also surprisingly few Shades in the cursed realm. I explored the wrong way clockwise (spoiler tip: I think counter-clockwise is the best way to go), and decided to postpone my Binlor worship until level 5. After that though it's just a few shots of Stone Heart and a quick conversion to GG, Humility, a beadless Enlightenment, and the Curse Shade fell rather quickly.

I also bought the Crystal Ball but promptly forgot about it. In the end I have about 50+ mana stored in it but never used. Well at least it's like preparing JJ, I guess...
(Though to be fair, two consecutive triggering of the Dragon Soul while CYDSTEPPING sure helps you forget about other means of replenshing mana....)
