Dwarf Transmuter, Halls of Steel

Not the best synergy, but a pretty good race if you want to kill The Indomitable early.

The thing about Transmuter is that I usually do alright, but I don't really feel like I'm living up to the potential. Anyway, this was pretty doable. WONAFYT spam as a substitute for LEMMISI wasn't as hot as I'd hoped, but it was ok. Elven Boots were nice. I went JJ, but I could've gone GG. Only my inventory stopped me, really - too many preps and glyphs. I just wanted to keep everything, what with the Orb of Lusory being large as it is, and Bear Mace being in the subdungeon with the bosses right next to each other.

One thing I regret a little is starting the boss too early. Using Bear Mace on The Indomitable burns through Death Protections rapidly and your knockback damage will be worthless if you're not backing it up. The slick solution would be to power level as high as possible and save glyphs for repeated Spirit Sword knockback strikes. Alternately, killing The Indomitable separately at a very low level for tons of bonus XP would work too. It wasn't going to be that hard of a run regardless.

Newer players might have trouble because Transmuter is a bit odd, and that's typical. It's really important to watch your CP gauge. Micromanagement can make a big difference. If your last fireball triggers Spirit Sword, then you get to have your cake and eat it.

Transmuter can be pretty awkward, especially if you aren't careful with your CP and mislick to death...
Thankfully Hard Halls of Steel is pretty merciful all around. Zombie Gold is also amazing for LEMMESI, though I suspect with today's loadout it's pretty difficult to hold onto LEMMESI for long.

Well, I got both Chaos Avatar and Enlightenment (with 2 JJ Boost to boot) so it's pretty fun. I'm sure there are some lvl 3-4 boss kills. Heck, there's even the perfect secret subdungeon for that...

With maxed out magic resistance, defeating the indomitable is a piece of cake. A simple level-up catapult with chaos avatar finished off Jormungandr. Very generous loadout, so it didn't matter that I'm no fan of dwarves or transmuters.

Easy business. Used Lemissi to scout out boss 2 (i.e. not-goo), the Orb and the sub and bowled up the popcorn before jumping into Taurog and then just smacking the map around. Killed a level 8 animated armour at level 4, Indomitable at 5, Zombies at 6/7 and Jormungandr at 8 with a couple of death protections and converting the Orb for inventory space. Had more than enough piety and popcorn to switch into Dracul and ran it miser and parched.

Yes..finally! A win streak of 2 in a row. :-)

Irony is that I thought there was no way I could beat this dungeon. No real clue how to play a Transmuter. I was doing everything wrong and there were two bosses. Went with JJ early and he punished me every which way. Was weakened for 7 at one point and was about to commit clickicide out of frustration at level six.

So many cursed and animated armors causing me grief. Got the chaos avatar and built up enough piety to switch over to Dracul. Got into the secret dungeon and grabbed the mace. Doubled up on the blood pool benefit and suddenly things weren't so grim.

Maced the first boss into the second boss til he died then drank blood pools and got healing form Drac to finish off Jorg. I couldn't believe it when he actually died.

So, out of spite, I then went and desecrated JJ and GG. Not sure if it helps or hurts but it sure felt good!
