Pretty easy one. Hoarder and Faithless. The trick to the Chemist for me was just unlearning the bad habit of exploring the dungeon fully before I start taking things on. I hit 7th for time, which would've been a lot faster if I'd gone in for Dracul.

I was level 9, and I had 2 mana left but no health or any other resources except for some blackspace. I also had BURNDAYRAZ and was in mana mode. Luckily, at this point, the Goo was at exactly 16 HP.

It was a thing of beauty. I love this game.

I was totally gonna say how Chemist isn't my favorite class, and how much it's as close as it gets to a non-Goat challenge class for me, but truth is I had a really fun run today with a Dracul Dwarf. It's true that the class was mostly irrelevant, but being a Chemist gave me at least one tangible benefit: I didn't feel sorry for all those Health Potions I converted for Dracul piety...

Well, today's run was made less "horrifying" with the help of some wonderful glyphs that allowed some really high level kills and sweet bonus XP. Yeah, Cydstepp, Imawall (erm, was there supposed to be plants in Northern Desert? I don't remember seeing them on today's run .. maybe I am wrong .. can't remember) and Endiswall (for physical resistance stacking). Pisorf has its uses, especially for "opening up paths" (today's map is kind of not that super friendly), dealing some bonus knockback damage as well as for "aligning" enemies (if you have knockback from Binlor and want to leverage on the extra damage). Burndayraz, well ... what can I say, you almost definitely needed it to win (would be kind of tough to melee Tower of Goo to death).

Best Prep Award goes to "Dracul" - More HP from lifesteal, blood pools, and the ability to just improve your fireball damage by 4 while giving you 20 extra piety helps tons for the Chemist and today's boss in particular.

Best Shop Item Award goes to "Martyr Wraps" - The bosses are close together and not very far off from where you start. Same goes for the shop selling this so you should be able to stack a nice amount of corrosion on Tower of Goo by the time you start on him. Plus, with Dracul prepped, you can actually leverage on all the blood pools (while having high health from Dwarf conversion bonus) and regen your health many more times to stick in more hits and corrosion stacks before you start the fireballing.

I discovered today that the Chemist actually has a pretty good synergy with the Trisword. :D As a Chemist you are drinking potions all the time, together with bysseps that's around +14 damage. Killed Aequitas with double bysseps + cydstepp at level 6. At level 8 the Tower of Goo followed after a short Manaform regenfight. Afterwards, mopped up everything and left the dungeon at almost prestige 1 and 4 quicksilver + 4 reflex left. Didn't even use any shops or my prepped translocation scroll... So yea an expected smooth run today. :D

Gorgon, Southern Swamp

Incredibly generous RNG for this class and boss. HALPMEH and Platemail alone can carry the run with plenty to spare. I converted BURNDAYRAZ on the ground when I saw who the boss was.

Hilariously, Hero Helm and Fine Sword showed up after the run was already over, but I did fine without them. Explore differently and you might find them sooner.

It took me a while to find good targets, and I was at 100 piety before level 2. I even bought a second ENDISWAL so I could get CP from the original. But blackspace wasn't that big of a deal - HALPMEH/Platemail greatly improves regen fighting efficiency to the point where I didn't even use up the main floor, let alone the subdungeon. The real issue was having enough walls to spend piety before it capped over and over again. Eventually I spent it all and then did Consensus and the resists pact.

High win chance if you brush up just a little on your Gorgon 101 before going in.
