Half-Dragon. Labyrinth

Not sure if it's just me not using HD much, but I found this one noticeably harder than Vampire in CO.
Deities/shops/subd were all useful, but there's only so much piety/gold half a dragon can get.

It was pretty hard. I lost this one, I revealed SMM very late and also accidentally angered mystera. Was two hits away from victory but it was not to be.

Ewww, yeah. Half-Dragon isn't really that great here because you often can't get a good angle to break all of those walls. We'll see how it goes.

This... honestly wasn't that bad. I farmed Binlor hard, getting knockback, might bonus, and 100 piety at level 1, then swapped into Taurog and started wrecking the place. Namtar's Ward is amazing for killing Rex - as long as you can survive a non-enraged hit, the Ward plus one levelup lets you hit him with 4 attacks and two full bars of mana without spending any potions or piety. SMM being stuck in a corner is a pity, though. Find him right at the end and you may be screwed.

Knowing that Binlor is on the map is a relief (or maybe it's a prep, I don't know yet). I might rush ENDISWAL.

I went with a Taurog warmonger and was ONE hit away from winning. The SMM at the edge of the map with no targets to knock him into screwed up my run as well.

Well, I joined the one-hit-away club today too. I found him soon enough, but I decided to do Rex first for some reason. But I didn't feel ready for that until I didn't have much blackspace left... I think I wanted to not pick up Martyr Wraps until starting SMM, which I did. But a stack of potions and not much blackspace didn't get me quite far enough... It's a shame the subdungeon was blackspaceless.

This is all so depressing and making me nervous for when I eventually get to attempt it.

Seriously need to find and kill him first (SMM) while there are still tiles left for using Alpheesik. But, who knows, luck also plays a big part - if I don't find him or Alpheesik first and too few tiles are left when I do find both of them, then I know I will also be screwed.

Oh wow, SMM is really bad in this daily. Managed to get through comfortably, but only because I stumbled on him with a decent amount of blackspace left, and I still blew my popcorn and potions.
Rex was very easy in comparion; a DP chain from taurog and a well placed patch of wall is all that was needed. No fancy cleaning afterwards since I no longer had anything to blow. Switching to Taurog after Binlor seems the way to go.
