Goblin Chemist, Halls of Steel

I took the Keg prep forgetting that Chemists... don't really... use it very well, and opened it right away and didn't realize this issue until the score screen. At least I finished parched!

Goblin Chemist, Halls of Steel

I saw a disturbing number of kegs in the leaderboard today. Was it just for the CP?

Anyway, Conjunction got you: Pactmaker, Taurog, Mystera, Earthmother. Which one is the extra? I didn't even think to use Pactmaker for some reason, though an emergency 50 piety for another mana spike or two from EM would've been a nice safety net given the bosses.

Shops are pretty kind today - Elven Boots helps you start The Indomitable super-early, after you find the Orb. And Crystal Ball is the best Tormented One tool a Chemist could ask for. The potion-independent nature of Goblins is yet another resource to fall back on, with EM and Mystera offering mana restoration as well. (But Mystera's doesn't jive perfectly with Goblin without some micromanagement)

Anyway, there's plenty to offset the class's issues this time around. You even get to prep Bear Mace, which makes this boss a lot easier

Still have no confidence with the Chemist, so I was a little worried going in. Then I saw Mystera's sparkles, a pair of Elven Boots, and a Crystal Ball, and all worry departed from me. Still treaded carefully, since you lack the safety net of potions with the Chemist, but didn't feel the usual apprehension when playing him in a daily.

Chemist with MA, goblin, free 50% MR, keg for consistent 3-level+ fireball kills and TS as boss 2. With flames and mana form you can regen fight a boss at level 6 (24+6+burning/2.5 tiles) or comfortably at 7 (28+7+burning/2.5 tiles). Very nice setup.

8/19/2015 - Dwarf Priest in Creeplight Ruins
Fire Heart available as a prep for a Dwarf Priest on a dungeon with an undead boss? With Binlor spawning in naturally fairly close to the entrance for easy MR farming? With BLUDTUPOWA for a more spellcasting-oriented approach if you're so inclined? Yup, nice and easy one. I was only 2 XP shy of the lowest XP, but I played more conservatively then I needed to since I never actually used my health potions so I'm sure someone can go much lower if they try :-P

Just back from a few days vacation late yesterday. Had a couple glasses of wine and remembered there was still a chance to do the daily. REALLY BAD IDEA.

Made up for it to day, but nothing I prepped or picked up early lasted to the end. I kept needing space for other stuff. Cashed in my martyr gloves, fire heart and one of the other things which I can't remember. Started with Binlor and took out the first boss form at level 7, then switched to EM and the other incarnations went down easily with fireballs and Pisorf knockback damage. In fact, I had a harder time killing some of the level 8 and 9 critters that were still on the map.
