For today's Grimm Grotto I prepped Binlor in fear of being boxed in. It's a surprise that JJ spawns and makes the run rather uneventful. I'm kicking myself for converting the WEYTWUT in favor of WONAFYT though. Would save a lot of blackspace on high level kills. Got the usual leftmost four badges, but as a result lose out on the XP stat due to not using potions. Would've got Specialist as well if not for a misclick.
28 Mana with a fully loaded inventory is almost overkill, I guess if you prepped Mystera and convert to JJ you might get to 30 Mana with Mystic Balance?

Biggest threat with Grimm's Grotto is getting boxed in right at the start, so I went with a Binlor prep as the safest pick. However, I found LEMMISI before I found Binlor so I decided to give it a couple hits just to see who else was present. Within two clicks I'd revealed Jehora Jeheyu and a nearby WEYTWUT glyph. Wasting no time, I teleported over to his altar, joined his religion, and teleported back to desecrate Binlor. I then hit LEMMISI until I found BURNDAYRAZ, grabbed it, and proceeded to rock out like a Elf Bloodmage should. Finding the Keg of Mana and Tormented One as the boss just sealed the deal. Started the boss fight at level 5, leveled up to level 6, chaos avatar to 7. I didn't need to use a single potion (and I only used blood pools for leveling; I had most of them left for the boss) so I definitely could have taken down the boss earlier, possibly starting the boss fight as early as level 3. Should have spammed LEMMISI a few more times before converting it to locate the boss earlier, but oh well I'm happy with this time.

Well, I got to desecrate Tikki Tooki on purpose, so that was fun.

Wow....listening (okay reading)..to the pro's describe how they did today's run shows me how much I still have to learn. I seem to have taken the hard road to winning today.

I went with Dracul right out of the gate...and quickly wished that I had not and that I had prepped Binlor as I couldn't get in the secret dungeon.

Dracul's boons offered some help and some major limitations. I got two levels of life steal and two levels of sanguine on top of the enhanced sanguine from all the mana potions I drank. Unfortunately, that left me at level 6 with not a lot of hope for advancement.

Luckily I had saved my blood pools and went after some higher level monsters for leveling up as I was out of black space by this time. Killing the twins in the subdungeon got me a couple levels of death protection so the Schadenfreude potion replenished mana for more fireballs as well as beating on the boss to get him down to less than 30 HP.

Finally, I had to start killing undead so that I could go up one more level to replenish my mana and finish him with a fireball.

It sounds like almost any other approach would have been a lot easier. :-)

Yeah, that was a brain fart on my part. Tower of Goo and Tormented One are both highly physically resistant and easily dispatched with fireball spam, so they kinda get categorized together in my brain.
