Goblin Chemist, The Labyrinth

Rats. I thought that having CYDSTEPP and ENDISWALL in the opening area, Goblin levelups, and JJ would all make this work, but I didn't. Too little black space to get at a decent level to take down the bosses without running all my copious resources down the drain. And I beat the crazy goat yesterday, too... I hate chemist.

Goblin Chemist, Labyrinth

Got trapped between Rex and a lvl 9 Gorgon at lvl 3. Killed Gorgon and explored 2 more squares into a dead end and a dead Chemist.

Labyrinth is such a stupid map.

Prepped Mystera, found a Mage Plate right at the start, and never looked back. Took both bosses down with nothing but fireballs, starting at level 5.

Ugh, this one looks like it'll be a little rough. But JJ should make it ok. Chemist is one of my weaker classes though. I guess I could try to farm up enough health to take a berserk hit.

Okay, that wasn't as bad as expected (still closer than I'd like; I really need to sharpen my Chemist play). Goblin worked well for keeping momentum, CYDSTEPP gave a reliable means to get the BYSSEPS super attack against the bosses, ENDISWAL helped keep the dungeon clear, Blue Bead and Mage Plate in the shop pool were invaluable, and JJ->GG was a nice conversion chain available if you could swing the piety for it (I didn't need it, but could have jumped to GG for some last minute protection). I'll tell you, though, I've never felt so completely unperturbed when JJ hit me with mana burn. Oh, you mean I need to spend a mana potion? Whatever. Never missed it (ended up converting my last mana potion as CP fodder).

In yesterday's news, I somehow held top time. I felt my time was atrocious, but I guess everyone was taking that one slowly and methodically.

I had fun XD

Ran into GG first, haven't actually played a run in ages, did some humility/absolution, swapped into JJ for a CA off of a Mystera desecration, fiddled about aimlessly and mindlessly killing stuff that made sense somehow, attacked the minoutaur, killed him with some combination of goblin dings and fire heart, farmed up some more JJ piety (w no petition), smacked aequitas around with more goblin dings and fire heart and ended up in GG for a protection for the last hit.

Saw Darvin complain, saw what run it was, reinstalled the game at 6 AM just to do that. I think I converted all my potions, too, along the way. Never used Byceps while in JJ. Got barely anything out of GG. Desecrated Mystera and didn't pick the Mage Plate up. Found Balanced dagger too late. There were several good goblins and chemists and whatnot in there but we just went past each other in that labyrinth.

EDIT: Oh, and I was going to desecrate GG for guaranteed Last Chance piety, when the thought occured that I can just, like, swap over to GG and take a Protection. Misused, underused and unused everything and anything, would've made a perfect video.

If there wasn't an Endiswall in there, God knows what would've happened. This must be what playing drunk is like.

Fun!
I almost got pwned by Shifty Brickwork!

Yikes. MA-farmed straight GG. Closer than I want. Goblin has so little going on I had to use Protection a few times, and chose to take Enlightenment (which didn't really help much) for a laugh. Had to consecrate JJ to get Unstoppable, and even then wasn't able to kill a few lvl 6~7 goblin/dragons.

At least level 1 Chemist fueled ENDISWAL piety farming solved the Rex issue...

on ipad version today :

Halfling monk in cursed oasis....
terrible setup, even if you dont get cursed you face a lot of magical monsters. the only positive note : 2 shops near the entrance with the items that protect against poison and mana burn, so thralls become your only decent target. Needless to say, lost my winning streak of 12... only 1 person won so far.

went with earthmother for the corrosion boon, it adds damage and at the same time drops curse stacks. killed the shade at lvl 7 with fireballs and all my mana potions + clearance, kept my health potions for the dragon at lvl 8 but wasnt enough, could do 7-8 hits with 10+ health potions and needed around 20 hits.
