I was a bit weary of resource management, given that Gnome Priest has pretty piss poor damage output outside of fighting undead and that affects your ability to consume popcorn. I was getting antsy with about 2/3rds of the map explored and neither boss located, but then I found the altar of Dracul and I knew I was set. With agnostic collar in the shop pool, the piety and indulgence required to make best use of GG->Dracul conversion chain was assured. I found the bosses with only a handful of tiles left for exploration, but with the staying power of Dracul I didn't even need to start dipping into my mana-based resources. I used one mana potion to trigger my trisword (and I converted one under GG for some piety) and that was it.

Not impressed with my time today; I was overly-conservative with WEYTWUT and positioning to prevent shifting passages from closing in. The dungeon was still almost completely barren when I ended, so I didn't need to be nearly this thorough.

Today's Daily gave me the scare. Not because of the setup (I consider Gnome Priest to be a powerhouse Tier 1 build that I often use for Vicious runs), but because I kept clicking "Upload" for a while before it actually went thru. I know that all streaks end at some point, but still, it would suck big time to lose my streak again to an upload bug...
"Thinker", just without the "ache".

Watching the video that Gakato uploaded yesterday really helped me out today. I've realized that lack of patience is my biggest flaw in this game so today I decided to tough it out and be diligent with my play...and it paid off.

I did not think I was going to win. Around level four or so I was sure I was screwed. I made the mistake of worshipping Tiki early then realized I pretty much had to hit everything at least two times because of the Priest's low damage. In desperation, I bought the Agnostic Collar and desecrated GG and switched to Dracul and then desecrated Tiki. After that it was a whole new game.

I used Wehywut a lot for extra XP on higher level kills and focused hard on killing from safe wall areas. I got up to level 9 and then took three or four layers of Sanguine and just whooped zombie boss with no effort. That put me at level 10 and then I just had to chase Evolvia around alternating fireballs with physical attacks.

What a difference in game feeling today. I actually felt improvement based on all the help you folks have given.

So apparently Evolvia can turn Undead, just found out today when I got punished unknowingly by Dracul when I delivered the killing blow to Evolvia. Never really noticed his traits, only remember the "nastier" ones like retaliate fireball, 80% phy. resists, 100% deathgaze and Poisonous.

That's really strange, because when I killed Frank I was watching to see if Dracul would punish me for it and I was pretty sure that he didn't. When it happened, I was wondering if bosses don't count for undead?

Honestly, health potions on a priest are so good they're worth the piety hit.
