Orc Sorcerer in Southern Swamp
And just to ensure those Murkshades are no trouble at all, Soul Orb is in the shop pool. Nice and easy one.

Southern swamp is always such a relaxing dungeon, especially with cheesy race/class combos such as Orc Sorcerer. And as Darvin mentioned, Soul Orb just makes it easier.

So where was the Soul Orb? I didn't see it.

Not that it mattered. I was just lolling around, showing my wife how the game worked and before I knew it I had won at level 6 and hadn't even gone to the right half of the dungeon.

I was going to stop to see if I could get lowest XP, etc...but realized I could show her more so went and mopped up the second half. Still only got up to level 9....but wasn't trying at that point.

Also....did Conjunction work for any of you? I thought it was supposed to add another god on the board. All I got was MA, Pact Maker and Binlor. Or is this normally a 2 god map?

Went for XP today (got 325). Kept casting spells before finding altars assuming I'd go Mystera, but I found Binlor and that was also fine... :) Swapped over to GG for humility & a lot of protections, and took enlightenment in the end just for good measure. I accidentally skipped L6, and converted a lot of stuff *just before* joining GG (which was silly), but otherwise played (I think...) pretty optimally. I do wonder, though, which altar TT would replace, because somehow grafting him onto all of this would have been just sick...

Dwarf Crusader in Grimm's Grotto
Well, I definitely was overly conservative today. I didn't touch my potions or my apothecaries and hadn't even converted to Dracul yet for the healing bonanza he would provide. Just beat through Iron Man with PISORF, Stoneskin, and a level-up catapult.

Kind of a "pain in the butt" run.

Not particularly hard for the Grotto...and tons of good shop items and preps. The pain part was finding monsters one or two levels higher. They seemed to be hiding with the path I took. Everything was either the same level or three plus levels higher.

So, change of strategy....beefed up, grabbed GETINDERE and got a couple nice, higher level kills. Bought the balanced dagger, and...... no more guys the same level in sight.

The Binlor/Dracul combo made the rest of it pretty much a cake walk.

One of those days...but I won...so not so bad.
