Sorry to hear about the losses today...not many winners so far.

My paranoia and slow playing paid off today. Was super cautious about where I stood when I made kills as I've burned myself so many times on this dungeon.

I wish I was in the class of Gakato and Haakon...but today was new personal record for me. My first double digit winning streak..10 in a row.

Triple digits? Wow...what kind of drugs do I need to even dream of that?? :-)

Rat Monarch in Shifting Passages is clearly a cursed combination. Not quite the widespread devastation as last time, but it ended far longer streaks.

Goblin Warlord in Hexx Ruins
A rather annoying run. Not difficult, mind you, but annoying. With nothing available to boost damage (no preps, no shop items, and not even your race) the Warlord struggles to get those clean 2 hit kills and 3 hit kills that he thrives on, and cleaning up the Revenants gets you poisoned all the time. Most of the level 8's and 9's were also Goo Blobs, which is perfectly manageable with cleansing strikes (if you prepped GG, that is) but requires careful inventory and piety management. This was further complicated by the presence of Frank, who is always a bigger drain on resources than you'd like. And, since I was going for time, the subdungeon (vegetarian vampire) was completely useless. So lots of potential stumbling points you need to navigate around.

Bottom line, though, is that a Warlord of GG is still a Warlord of GG. I used my keg of health to fuel my early piety and get momentum going, used cleansing strike for all those annoying physical resist foes, purchased WHUPAZ for Frank then beat my way through the two bosses with plenty of resources left. I still had more than a full complement of potions, enough CP for another level-up, and sufficient piety saved up to convert out of GG to use those potions.

GG replaced... GG.

I actually got boxed in like, twice or three times by aggravating high level revenants, but in the end having 18 mana, Mystic Balance, Refreshment, and a fist full of Glyphs, there was no real doubt.
