Orc Bloodmage in Southern Swamp
A freebee if I ever saw one. Good class combo, easy dungeon, excellent glyph pool and shop pool. Only thing lacking are the default deity loadout, which don't synergize well with Bloodmage at all.

Congrats on 200 Tinker.

Well, late to the party, but ... Congrats for hitting 200 Tinker, :D

As for today's daily, I just wanted to "fool around" - prepped an "all items" loadout (Piercing Wand, Perserverance Badge, Tower Shield and Elite Items). Managed to get "decent" XP and Piety and got 5 badges (the 4 in the first column together with Specialist).

With the preps, today's shop pool was:

So, if one managed to get the Zot first, and push up to "max resists" (15% each from Taurog and Dracul + 10% from Tower Shield gives 40% phys. resists), pump up damage by dumping glyphs, pump up Sanguine by drinking mana potions, get 1 Lifesteal and use Imawal, he could really do some awesome high level kills today. Even without getting Zot and getting Platemail instead, you could also do some decent power leveling.

As for me, I "fooled around" - started with Taurog for Armour and Shield, briefly converted to GG for Humility, then converted to Dracul for the final boss kill and mop up. Lastly, I went back to GG just to get a 1 bead Enlightenment.

I'm a day late here, but I learned two cool things in yesterdays Magma Mine runs. I'm pretty sure this is news to nobody here but it jumped out at me so will mention it.

1. I've been using GETINDERE totally incorrectly up until now. My usual use was to bash and fireball monsters and try to save enough mana to use GETINDERE for the last killing shot. Sometimes I'd miscalculate and first shot wouldn't kill it.
New Improved Method: Bash monster once, cast GETINDERE, explore to get the 3 mana back, cast fireballs, then bash monster again to kill it.

Sounds similar, but works so much better. The big difference being having the full mana pool for fireballs. It was amazing how many times I got stuck because I had to save 3 mana for GETINDERE spell. It never dawned on me before to cast the spell before I actually had to use it.

2, You can kill the two underbosses in one shot very easily. I beat the magic resist boss down to the point where he would die with one blow. I then cast a fireball on the physical resist boss. Went back and hit the magic resist boss to kill him. Physical resist boss instantly dropped to 1 HP, then the burning stack went off for 1 damage and killed him.

I did it on a whim and was shocked to see it actually worked. Has everyone else been doing this forever on this dungeon?

* Gnome Thief in DoubleDoom *

Nom, Ndom, yummy! I got top XP and Piety at the moment with 396 XP and 481 Piety. With Extra Altar prepped, gods were MA, JJ, Dracul and PM.

Notably, I miscalculated and had to take CA at 30/55 XP which meant I wasted a potential 30 XP. I should have taken the CA earlier once I reached 0/55 (Prestige 1) - I was at around 50 Piety and I couldn't do CA without desecrating MA, I also couldn't do Alchemist Pact because then I would need 9 potions to get 27 XP but would lose 36 Piety in the process and then I wouldn't be able to do CA in the end. Also, a point to note is that I managed to drink all but 2 remaining mana potions with bonus XP from Alchemist Pact (was out of piety by then) after converting everything so not even sure whether XP can be pushed higher - there's a fine line to balance between keeping enough Piety for Alchemist Pact and pushing up max XP to delay CA to even later.

Other things about my run was that I found Balanced Dagger at the last shop (10th shop) and only bought and started using it at level 7. Killed the easier boss at level 8, and the other at level 10. Also, I started with MA (got Mystic Balance, 2 shots of Magic), converted to JJ to grab Petition first, later converted to Dracul (for Lifesteal and 2 shots of Sanguine for mop up and piety building, and no I wasn't able to get Blood Curse since I was already L10 when I converted to Dracul). I killed all 3 Hitball Sub opponents at level 10. And a final point of my run was that I was able to fully use up all available blackspace in all levels and also drank up all blood pools (except the one in the HitBall sub since there wasn't Pisorf or Knockback to move them away and they all spawned at the same spot). Oh and a final thing, I was able to kill Good Glenrick at level 1 (prep the Transmutation Scroll for this, Hint: Its in the top left map quadrant).

Sorry for the long post, was carried away describing my run. I would love to see somebody beat my XP score (maybe it's possible, not sure, probably delay taking CA until prestige 2 at 0/60).
