Question : what is the blue thing above the tavern?

I always assumed it was smoke coming out of the smoke stack, but it doesn't seem to align with the stack, so maybe not?

I just assume it is glyphs which teleport you to the dungeon zone.

I am pretty sure that it is a neon light. But I don't know what it represents.

I guess it's an anachronism-but-not... It resembles a neon sign which is very common in today's world, but you wouldn't expect it in a fantasy world; then again, nothing would actually prevent a highly magical society from using the magical equivalent of such a very sign for the same purpose (i.e. attract attention).

It is indeed a magical neon sign showing a beer tankard spilling suds. I'm pretty sure it was in our concepts for the kingdom graphics super early on.

If the kingdom had night time palettes the tankard would be a lot more evident, methinks.
It is an interesting thought to entertain (that is, how the kingdom would look at night).
