Oh my god I love you:

That RBS was crucial in taking down the Goo blob, and would have been used for the Tormented one had I not converted it to make space for grabbing Yendor and the Kegs. Transloc'd a lucky Elven Boots to complement the platemail I found 2 steps away from the entrance and found a vampiric blade later on, which I picked up with the help of the signpost subdungeon that provided that oh-so-crucial second schadenfreude. I was lucky to find that by the 3rd wave I healed off of Jormungander, and I did the same with Tomithy with some careful curse management. I came close to not being able to take the first hit from Kinissch, but I had one remaining health potion to send me just over the damage threshold and an extra mana potion to ensure I could remove all of his DPs safely.
Still one of the closest runs I've had in a while, and I'm going to tackle Dragon Isles and Namtar's Lair before I go for the final Vamp run in Vicious Steel. I'm still not entirely sure how to level effectively in NL, though despite the less-than-ideal monster roster getting through the first two forms makes the run a whole lot easier. I'm thinking of taking a similar prep loadout to what got me the NC win since RBS makes frozen trolls better blood cows as well as allowing for meaningful health use during the third form, and translocation seal has its uses for nabbing stuff like yendor or elite items. Going to test my theory now, so wish me luck!
EDIT: Took a few tries, but success!

Bled out to Namtar's 2nd form a lot due to sloppy popcorn/blackspace/bloodpool management, but managed to nab it this run by getting to level 8 before starting the boss fight and using the Sir Thrawn subdungeon to not only heal the bloodcows above (mainly a poor lvl 5 frozen troll who was the only one that could take multiple hits from me) but also as a heal in between Namtar's phases. Had all of my health potions left over at the end as well as an extra Schadenfreude.
I was right in that getting past Namtar's first 2 forms would be the hardest, as everything beyond those two were pushovers to standard brawling or casting. My strategy for the first form was using as many health refills as I could get from level ups or bloodcows before starting to dip into bloodpools, while simultaneously using my mana to soften up the higher-leveled zombies for use during the 2nd form as curse removers. Dodge + Whupaz went into that form alongside a second level up, and I cleaned up the topside with my mostly untouched bloodpools before converting random junk and heading down.
That leaves DI and VS as the only two dungeons I haven't completed with Vampire (technically VGT is missing a win, but I had a victory that got erased due to using the wrong cloud save).
