Whenever I try installing this mod using it's launcher I seem to get errors. The part of the update where the progress bar says "Checking DesktopDungeons_Data\mainData" seems to run into an error that says "Patching a file Desktop Dungeons\DesktopDungeons_Data\mainData was interrupted. Can't apply patch because file was changed. Check your computer for viruses or reinstall game client."

It then cancels the patch and doesn't allow the game to be booted. Then when I relaunch it it tries installing Update2_3 (don't remember the exact file name) and after doing that it has the same error on "Checking DesktopDungeons_Data\MainData". Third time I open Launcher.exe it just says "Done" and lets me play, but it seems to be the vanilla game since the numbers next to the codex entry seem to be the same, although the daily is disabled.

Do I need to go into my antivirus and tell it to make an exception for Launcher.exe, or do I need to install Extreme Edition into the Desktop Dungeons folder under steamapps\common, because I made a separate folder where I copy and pasted the game files from the steamapps\common folder and installed it into there?

Pretty sure this is a known bug, but posting it just in case it isn't; the game sometimes crashes on Hidden Workshop when using a Reflex Potion. I've lost a few runs here because I drank one mid-fight with Lavavein. I was playing a Dwarf Rogue last time, if it matters.

This mean a fix is feasible? Nice to hear it was discovered! Although, I'm PRETTY sure I crashed the instant I drank the potion, without even having a chance to look at the boss. I'll go experiment with it if it'd help you guys out.

Progress report while I'm here; done half the puzzles, beat the silver challenge of both EE classes. I've never actually done the triple quests or vanilla gold class challanges, so now I'm doing all that. Focus is mainly on the final triple quest, I think I might just be gud enough now to actually finish every challenge in the game.
