OK, so I completed Grudge Match - it took me quite a bit to figure out, but overall I didn't have a lot of trouble once I figured out what I was doing (in fact, I think I played rather suboptimally).

I was thinking it might be a good idea to curb EM's RNG element (the way desecrating JJ always punishes you in this puzzle) since if you get unlucky you might get blocked off by a Murkshade or Barbing Bush, forcing you to lose mana to proceed and possibly costing you the puzzle. The EM puzzles in the base game solved this by making every plant a Poisonous Pod - thoughts on this?

I'll post my solution in a spoiler below:

Side note, but what do you mean by "upgrading the Explorer's Guild"? I don't see an option to do that. I've seen videos of the mod with extra preps from the Bazaar and I can't see an option to upgrade those either. Do I need to do a quest or something in order to unlock those? I haven't tried anything on the main map, I've been having too much fun with the puzzles and class challenges!

We made an expansion and it is awesome. Really, you should check it out, especially if you're looking for some extra challenge.

Cleared Sextuplets! 8-)

Here's my solution:

I have to say, these puzzles are really a blast! I'm really enjoying them a lot more than the ones for the base game - the puzzle environment isn't only good for teaching gameplay mechanics but also for flexing your DD muscles and really digging deep to pull out the last resource. And, on top of that, I get extra bragging rights because anyone can repeat my playthrough exactly as it happened, without any randomness! :)

I especially like how the puzzle fits the theme of Namtar in the first place - the battle is really against Namtar's first and second forms, which are by far the most dangerous in his dungeon.

Thank. You. Heck, just for getting this I might throw in an in-mod reference for you in the next patch cause you've earned it. Turns out my key error was in picking up the platemail too soon (after getting the bottom left and middles, but not after bumping off the bottom right), which I assumed was necessary because I converted ENDISWAL prematurely, causing the lower left to go berserk on the third hit. Once more, my utmost thanks for nailing down a solution! I've always considered Sextuplets the hardest, but I'll be curious to hear your thoughts when you clear the remaining three.

I suppose I should note that the rough philosophy for Extreme Edition difficulty is one of .5s. So if a normal dungeon is a 1 and a hard dungeon is a 2-3, in terms of difficulty, then Extreme Edition normal dungeons should still only be 1.5ish. Thus, you shouldn't have any problem walking in purist and flossing your teeth with the boss. However, that means that hard dungeons are somewhere from 2.5-3.5 and Vicious dungeons fall somewhere between 4.5-5.5 (assuming that on our 5 point scale base game vicious would occupy difficulties 4 and 5). So expect a significant gap in difficulty between your normal and hard (and hard and vicious), the same way you see a large gap between silver and bronze challenges. Furthermore, the quests tend to get harder as the dungeons get harder, so the difficulty can ramp up extremely quickly.

TL;DR Don't worry, you'll see how this expansion gets its name soon, or at least eventually.

By the way, what's the Ensnare trait supposed to be thematically? All the other traits make sense to me in a fantasy setting, but I can't really wrap my head around what Ensnare is actually supposed to represent.

That somewhat depends on the monster which applies it to you, but roughly speaking the monsters attack hinders you in such a manner that makes your attacks against it (and, when it applies this hinderance to you, attacks on others) less efficient, allow them to regenerate a tile’s worth of health in the opening you give them. That hinderance could be anything from undead hands grabbing on to you, to goo or dust that clings to you and burdens you, to traps that latch on to you.

Did you try the quest in Hobblers hold. The first time I ran into the boss it was really funny, but also pretty interesting to beat :) Also thanks for trying to figure out the goats glade problem! Can I prove somehow that I bought the DLC, so that it can added by some code per PM?

I actually just finished the Hobbler's Hold quest a minute ago. I found the boss and burst out laughing, then crushed him with my Mystera Warlord. Luckily I didn't take a regen fighter in, or I would have had more trouble, I think.
