Okay, I see.

The fix I'm adding will also prevent from getting a free shroud with DP:
When breaking your DP you will only shroud a tile if you lost more health than the threshold.

As you mentioned it might still be possible to abuse it with Fire Heart, bloocows, etc. but at least it will be much harder to pull off and it probably won't be as easy as a the Infinimuter or infinite TT piety exploits.

You're going to have trouble using a shroudcow and lifesteal when your damage is at 1.

Thanks for the bug reports,

Indeed according to the text Serpentine shield is only supposed to block status ailments caused by attacks.
I'll see how it can be fixed.
