Interesting change to Paladins - although I'm guessing they're going to end up scumming for Dracul or GG in just about every dungeon, now.
Very much so. I'd go so far as to say that Paladin of Dracul is borderline broken. Dracul has always been the ideal god for Paladins, held back only by his loathing of their signature spell. Now that there's no drawback to doing so, I think Paladin of Dracul is actually broken. Being able to use potions with Glowing Guardian is totally broken, particularly since getting Enlightenmight is pretty easy if you don't mind sticking with GG all game, which is no longer an issue for the Paladin.
Earthmother and Tikki Tooki won't be bad consolation prizes, either. Tikki Tooki unfortunately runs out of useful boons after a certain point (seriously, buff or remove his two potion boons already. The mana/health potion are almost always better than quicksilver/reflex potions, I'm not going to actually pay piety
for this conversion!) but Earthmother with the ability to kill plants is basically a free lunch.
Not to mention that Mystera/Binlor/Taurog are even more useless for Paladins now that they can't be used as piety farms.
Mystera and Taurog are totally
worthless, since the Paladin is thoroughly a caster/fighter hybrid that cannot afford to sacrifice max-mana or damage. Mana leak might be useful, but that's the only boon I'd consider with either of these gods.
