Huh, I was only expecting 1 class (The Tinker)

Looks like we got two. Unfortunately I'll be busy tomorrow but I'll let people figure out how to unlock everything first!

Edit: Someone do me a favor and post how to unlock the two new classes when they find them, if I wasn't clear enough, thanks!

Tinkers are on a secret passage in any level (Easiest place to find one is in Grimm's Grotto, with Transmuter)

I just found the tinker as well, while checking out the new secret passage logic. They seem much rarer now. They also don't appear to replace normal subdungeons anymore, which is very nice change.

That being said, the only secret passage I've found so far is the Tinker cave, which might follow different rules. Has anyone found a 'normal' secret passage yet, and did it replace or supplement the open air subdungeon?

EDIT: Answered my own question. The Tinker makes this very easy to check. Secret passages are rare bonuses that spawn in addition to normal subdungeons. They seem to happen roughly 1-in-5 times, but I didn't measure that very carefully.

This is a very welcome change. It was frustrating having such a vital exploration resource be randomly denied.

Yeah, once you have the Tinker they're easy to find. They don't replace the normal secret passage, and also don't always exist. I've seen three different types so far.

Also, the secret passages now spawn on an empty square surrounded by rock, versus a solid square surrounded by rock. This means that you can usually spot them without needing to drill through rock at random. Much more fun, removes the chore from an otherwise fun feature.

After talking to the tinker, moving back over him says "A rather curious stands here..." I can't remember if there was a word missing before talking to him.

To get the vampires you need to finish their quest, wich involves defeating The Crypt in vicious mode.

The tinker is pretty similar to his alpha version, just a little better (in my opinion).
