The Gnome/Jehora Jeheyu combo has yet to be nerfed, so this makes it pretty easy to do the Assassin and the Warlord. Only issue is scumming for JJ, and then you're basically in the clear. If you're only at Witch level 2, that means you don't have the WHUPAZ potion. Trust me, you want this potion.

Trisword was originally +27 base damage, but only if your inventory was empty. This lead to rogues 1-hitting monsters four levels above them and just going nuts with this thing, while every other class basically couldn't make it work. Then they changed it to +3 base damage per level, which along with the old Dragon Shield was what you prepared 95% of the time. Now it's +3 base damage per healing potion drank, which makes it pretty wicked for Halflings.

But pretty lame for everyone else... Especially for classes that need their healing potions. Yeah, but Whupaz is an essential to beating Vicious. You need it for most. Need it.
We made an expansion and it is awesome. Really, you should check it out, especially if you're looking for some extra challenge.

Sorry if this sounds dumb but having problems beating complicated task pt 6. myself, I'd like to know what does whupaz exactly do in the first place?

Also, when are new updates to be expected?
I bought the game after the last update so I don't know how this works.

Updates are released on Friday, but not every week.

There seems to be an unspoken tradition on this board that the effects of the WHUPAZ potion are not discussed (seriously, there was once a balance thread on the subject and not once did someone mention what it actually does. I found that most amusing). Suffice to say the WHUPAZ potion is true to its name, and once you unlock it you will ALWAYS prepare it.

Thanks for the quick answer although it doesn't motivate me much to give the witch's quest another try.
Sounds like its a mandatory thing in order to be successful at the game which feels more like a chore...
Are there any race suggestions for the quest?
I read in the wiki but i still lost with an orc priest with dragon shield, GG and HALPMEH, although the glyph came pretty late.

Well, there isn't a whole lot of choice for race. Gnome and Halfling cannot use potions in this scenario, Goblin sucks in the current version, and orcs are usually superior to humans and dwarves. So that's basically leaves you with elf for spellcasting approaches and orc for melee approaches. I think that Orc Priest with a Dragon Shield and HALPMEH is your best approach, and a second option might be Elf Priest with burning heart and BLUDTUPOWA (but you'd need to find that glyph pretty early to make it work, essentially playing him as a gimped bloodmage).

Jehora Jeheyu and Glowing Guardian are your two deities of choice, since their primary downside is that they restrict your ability to use potions, though Dracul can also work for those following the melee route if you can get enough piety.

I also haven't done part 6 yet but think it should be pretty easy with strength potion+PISORF+Mystera+stone heart.

Explore the whole map while you spam PISORF for piety and placing high lvl monsters in the right spots. When you are done use Mana Leak. Now you should be able to kill lvl 9/8 wraith with just 1 PISORF. Keep leveling with PISORF until 8-9, should be quite easy without wasting too many walls thanks to the Mana Leak. Smugglers Den + Dungeons are for regen between bosses. Any additional items/altars you find (sec strength potion/fire heart) will make it even easier.

Wow. I never thought of that. For most of us it's HALPMEH and GG immediately. Then absolution with the extra snakes for major hp.

Mana leak is a great approach, too, although I find the bosses often begin cornered and since you can't WEYTWUT the magic resist one that means you need to do a considerable amount of scumming to find the right glyphs, Mystera, and to have the bosses well positioned. I think you've got more reliable options.
