Try using the Orb of Zot instead. Also, elite/quest items.

Before the addition of the second boss, I was able to squeak by using a halfling with the Orb of Zot preparation (almost required because it messes up barbarians' berserk thresholds) and finding the trisword and a Taurog altar on the near side of the wall. This requires incredible luck, and is a very grind-y and unfun thing to do. Even worse, you now have to worry about the second boss being Bleaty, which makes the scenario unwinnable (not difficult, but instead, literally impossible).

Honestly, given the current state of the game and how unenjoyable it is to scum for hours on end, I'd recommend just using a memory editor and cheating your way through this scenario. Games aren't worth playing if they start to feel like work.

Actually they nerfed the boss, to like 80 damage, so he should be much more doable.

Also, if you're having a problem where you can't get Warmonger, try converting off the ground. For some people this award is disabled if you even pick up a glyph.

I've just completed it with a dwarf wizard, no desecrations, only 2 death protections. Sensation stone + conversion seal, Taurog. Defeated the berserker boss first, then the warlock.

So the weakened damage basically cuts 40 damage off his berserk total. That's a pretty big help. After you use all your protections on him (And a few potions if necessary) remaining should easily be enough.

I had this problem, so I had to do it twice. You have to convert glyphs from the ground.

I also barely scraped through with a trisword halfling with agnostics collar for desecrations to squeeze death protections off Taurog both times. Since death protections are so vital, or in fact IF they are still so vital, then getting thomity or medusa might give you an ok place to blow your HP potions to fill the tri-sword up and squeeze a level out of all that.

Also, I was only able to do it after I started bringin the RBS in for the Ice Trolls (who have been nerfed recently, if I remember correctly), and I also figured out which enemies get frozen how, so I used that to my advantage as well. Using

GG as astarting point for humility might also be worth it, as only the enemies that are lower level than yourself can get frozen, you wont be using glyphs obviously, so being one level lower than the enemies you are currently fighting might turn out to be just the thing. Absolution can't be done, obviously, but with all the conversion from glyphs which you can't use anyway you would probably be able to switch off to Taurog with 25 piety in no time.

If there was a way to use TT potions for a "dodgestep" it would probably be easy, but getting TT piety in this level is practicaly impossible.

It would take scumming tho.
