I just picked up Desktop Dungeons at the end of January 2011, and I'm loving it. I've never played a roguelike before, but this game has inspired me to seek out other examples of the genre... after I unlock and beat The Siege of Lothlorien, of course. I don't currently have a favorite race/class combo -- I'm still having too much fun bouncing around from combo to combo and figuring out how to make them all work.
And the "10-minute" dungeon crawl? Blatant lies. I have yet to make a successful run in less than 25 minutes, but maybe that's because I alt-tab a lot.
