To be honest Goblin Transmuters do have a synergy, but it's no secret. SS usually drains your mana, so you have to time it with care. With Goblins it's not strictly a mana drain, since the xp can ding you. The 85 CP threshold is also helpful for for setting up 2 SSs for a fight.
Like start the fight with preSS, convert an 80CP glyph, hit, 2 fireball --> ding and continue.

Oh, yeah, Goblin Transmuters are good old ding machines and the sinergy between them and PoS is that all the spam lets you hit your CP threshold with any old piece of junk, and I had a Binlor into TT swap so there was also obvious sinergy there as I got my first few levels just by spamming, converting stuff and knocking the SMM into lvl 8/9 guys instead of hitting him into the goo right away. So there was a load of popcorn on the board.

What I meant is that that looks kinda good and exciting and possibly exotic that it might've looked like the vid was meant to be about that.

EDIT: Also, on top of any Spirit Sword shennanigans there's also the Lemisi which lets you find everything in there too.

Had a little time to watch the video, was very entertaining as always :)
'Why did I use CA to get to lvl 5 from lvl 4. I don't know, you tell me!' - Golden :D

I have to say you're overrating Pissorf and Pissorf spam in general. Because, nah I'm just kidding.
It's obvious from the video how comically you wasted most of your resources, even if CB is an amazing item to have. If you have gotten less synergistic stuff, all you needed to do was play less wastefully and you would have won anyways.

Funny how you had that stellar health at lvl1 and didn't use B2P, or hit the SMM when once again B2P use was better. The LC gamble was unnecessary, and as you mentioned lining up guys next to SMM and killing the by PoS would have helped in dinging too. Also if you started out with the Goo, dinging early would have been easier, etc.

Btw thanks for the namedrop :)

It's true that the Dwarfish health can help in many not obvious places, my biggest problem is that in most of those cases being something else would give better benefits. Like there's the Dwarf + B2P combo, which looks good, but when you get down to it it's still worse than playing an Elf and finding the glyph. Dwarf gets +3 mana for 240 CP and 3 tiles, Elf olny needs 210 and doesn't waste exploration space for that. Potions don't change anything, you have the same amount of health potions as mana potions. You need a 3rd component to make the Dwarf better, like Dracul, FH, Health Keg etc.

Allright, so this thing is getting uploaded, will post a link when it's done uploading:

PQI - Elf Priest - Ick Swamp - Miser

Image

More fails than you can shake a stick at  But still - satisfying little casual romp, somehow managed to take half an hour. I prepped Fake Beard to have first strike on the popcorn... on the same run I prepped RBS on, so that should clue you in on how attentive I was. Misused, underused and lousily used features everywhere!

Would've obviously played it very different if it was a VT run, ofc.

Video available here.

LOL at the Fake Beard + RBS combo.
That RBS was really unsynergistic with the elf part also, taxing your health when munching popcorn.

I was surprised you didn't touch Halpme. It's really good on high damage Elves and makes mushrooms 'edible'.
Well, you did touch Haplme after all, you converted it :P

Btw congrats for scoring miser. The temptation to reflex-buy a potion in such a run is very high :D

God, that RBS was terrible XD The beard WAS a good idea if it worked, this way I'd even get mana burned by wraiths if I tried to use them as popcorn (cross-dimensional facepalm around the universe).

And I was totally going to use Halpmeh, even left it on the board for a while and converted it in a lapse of cognitive function! I even forgotten I've done it when I converted the Fireball - which I only did because I meant to just pick up that Halpmeh.

And see what I'm talking about with "Apothecary being too easy to get used to?" :)

Also, while I'm having a lot of fun with casual play, and I believe it's really good to see that, say, Elf Priest is not only perfectly playable but also easy to improve upon, my mad cult leader cred will hit rock bottom if I keep up with this, so I'll do a VT Elf Priest Ick run tommorrow for science, even if it truns out to be unwatchably long.

Elf and Gnome priests (and monks) I've been playing for PQI's a lot are a strong argument in favor of simply linking up all the combos for classess with their own (not terribly elaborate) pagelets on the wiki. Elves and Dwarves actually make fine, fine hybrids - because of the lack of obvious sinergy you'd never thing of preping them, they look like you're playing hoarder with the "wrong" classess. But it turns out you're not in fact a hoarder because you spontaneously develop a big health or mana pool which can do a boss in on it's own, or just help you munch popcorn or do strange things you otherwise couldn't and pick up stuff that your race sinergizes with. If the class is single-minded enough, like the Priest is, you don't really have to "develop" it - tacking on a big mana pool makes you both more flexible AND more dangerous in oh so many ways. EDIT: Also see - Tinker's latest brag :)

Anywho, looking forward to trying the Elf Priest out on a less absent minded VT run, was going to do it this evening, but me and the waifu got busy with Discworld Noir :)

Ok, so the first morning run was this:

VT RUN - Dwarf Figter of Dracul - Magma Mines - Vicious Token / Miser

Image

On one hand it was rather good, Blood Curse let me regen early which opened up Soko Trolls for me (whould've been much better if I wasn't for some reason thinking I was supposed to go Miser instead of Hoarder). While Blood Curse and B2P don't sinergize at all, Dwarf and B2P do, and it kinda got the ball rolling. I got to a sufficient level with 33% resist both. I delayed taking lifesteal hoping for Taurog or Binlor, but I only found my 3rd altar late and I though I'd have to swap into GG or Mystera, so I only ended up taking one level of Sanguine and being stuck in Drac.

Good thing to remember is that Drac doesn't, in fact, punish you for using a Death Protection - he just doesn't like you casting Cydstep. So I fireballed down one guy with B2P and mana potions, and I dinged and killed the other guy using my health (in retrospect not necessarily the best move), and I was stuck in darc with a lot of Wraiths on the board which meant I couldn't really ding much for the end fight (shame), but I just potion spiked/sanguined/bloodswelled/DP'd for a melee win after using the whoopaz (with no dodge as it took 5 or so hits for it to trigger, but go big health!).

The lvl 8 Snake Kill was Slayer Wand - handy little thing that ^^
