The Ratlings dungeon is the Crusader bronze challenge.
Preparations
None allowed.
Resources Available
The dungeon always seems to spawn the same five glyphs: IMAWAL,
ENDISWAL,
LEMMISI,
BYSSEPS and
BURNDAYRAZ. There are normal stores but not alchemist stores. There are no subdungeons. There is one fixed altar, dedicated to
The Pactmaker.
Special Rules
One of the stores is guaranteed to offer a Item: Wall Crusher Wall Crusher for a price of 1 gold.
There is a unique item found somewhere in the dungeon, Orb of Lethar (), that can be smashed to slow the boss if he is already visible.
Monsters
Serpent: Poisonous
Goblin: First Strike
Bandit: Curse Bearer
Ratling: Retaliate:Fireball, Fast Regen
The monsters are generally easy for a Crusader as he is immune to Curse and Poison. Monster difficulty is Normal (100% of nominal attack and health scores).
Boss
The boss is Keeng Ra'at ( Ratling icon, Attack 999, Health 100, First Strike, Fast Regen, Retaliate: Fireball).
Strategy
Recommended race: Orc (or any other)
Although the boss deals an unsurvivable amount of damage, luckily there is an item that can slow him once. So the only challenge is to use Momentum to get total damage above 100 to be able to take him out in one shot. Playing as an Orc Crusader this should be doable as early as level 5, even more so later on. So just kill enough higher level monsters to get to a comfortable level, convert everything not needed, and just after a level up, start killing off the low-level monsters. Once the total attack exceeds 100, smash the Orb of Lethar, and take out the boss in one hit.
