Class Features
- INSANE: Start with the BLUDTOPOWA glyph
- SANGUINE: Walking over a BloodPool restores 15% of maximum health
- POWER-HUNGRY: Drinking mana potions boosts Sanguine effects, drinking blood restores 1 mana
Note: when a bloodmage drinks a mana potion, he gains 60% of his mana back rather than 40%. It is unknown at this time whether this is a bug or an unlisted class feature.
Strategy
The bloodmage is an odd class, totally centered around his sanguine class feature. Because this is his raison d'etre, your entire strategy will revolve around maximizing the gain from this ability. The bloodmage has little synergy with his signature glyph. To maximize utility with sanguine, he must build up a character with a strong melee game, but such characters lack a strong use for 
BLUDTUPOWA. Though the glyph isn't useless, it will not be central to your strategy.
One approach with the bloodmage is to improve your health to enormous proportions. Because sanguine restores a percentage of your maximum health, the amount it restores will increase accordingly. Combined with a good physical attack and some resistances, the bloodmage can be become a very dangerous warrior with a great deal of staying power in melee combat. This combines best with the 
HALPMEH glyph if you have a large number of resistances. Characters with expanded health pools will also benefit from items such as the Fire Heart. The bloodmage combines well with 
Dracul, who will shower him with piety for drinking his blood pools, and offers the useful Blood Shield boon to boost resistances.
Because the bloodmage is so totally dependent on blood pools, you should focus on conserving them as much as possible. You must absolutely not get separated from them. On scenarios such as Naga City where there is a point of no return, this makes the bloodmage a significantly weaker class.
