Very tiny map. After 125 tiles are revealed, all tiles revealed thereafter put 1 stack of Frostbite onto your character.
Strategy
Permafrost Peak is a very cramped map that puts new trait Frostbite in the spotlight. Even if carefully avoided from monsters, merely exploring will eventually afflict you with this troublesome status, and knowing how to mitigate its effects is key to victory.
First, realize that low level Goblins and mid level
Frozen Trolls are your allies. Frostbite is functionally a temporary, one-attack-only version of
Corrosion, unless being hit with MORE frostbite -- To get rid of it you will want to take weak hits, and Goblins with their
First Strike and Frozen Trolls with their high HP and resists are the best choices to that end. Always leave some monsters that you know will hit you around.
Second, very much like corrosion, frostbite won't actually harm you if you take 0 damage (through sources of Damage Resistance like Wereward and
Vine Form). Level 1 goblins can become even MORE efficient at wiping frostbite stacks.
Lastly, don't be too afraid of frostbite itself, while it is an extremely dangerous affliction that can get out of hand, there's usually nothing wrong with running around with 15-20 stacks of it. Don't blow all of your frostbite wipes too early when the effects are still trivial!

Frozen Dragon is another tanky boss, relying on Frostbite buildup to kill you before you're able to finish it off. Despite this, you're still afforded 2 or 3 strikes before the damage you take matches
Super Meat Man's damage output. Provided you've come all this way and have 3-4 monsters leftover to vent frostbite off on, you're pretty much golden. Otherwise, it's a damage race to the bitter end. Hit hard, hit ruthlessly, and hope your health bar can take increasingly more brutal attacks until the beast finally falls.
