Strategy

Race: Orc Orc can be a strong choice here to get started. Race: Elf Elf, Race: Gnome Gnome, and potentially other races are viable as well.

You may want to start with God: The Earthmother The Earthmother for Glyph: IMAWAL IMAWAL and her boons. Don't be afraid to use 1-3 God boon: Clearance Clearances if your path is blocked or if mana is needed. God boon: Consensus Consensus can be taken at any time your piety is low and you're ready to spend some on boons or converting gods. God: Glowing Guardian Glowing Guardian and God boon: Humility Humility are strong choices when level 10 is near. An early Humility will weaken your Glyph: BURNDAYRAZ BURNDAYRAZs and may not be worth the extra bonus experience.

Standard Swashbuckler strategies apply: Try not to waste any mana. Build up and use your dodges.

Two monsters have Trait: Revives Revives, two monsters have Trait: Serrated Strike Serrated Strike, and two monsters have Trait: Cowardly Cowardly. Some nasty monster with high stats are here. Monster: Siren Sirens and Monster: Coral Snake Coral Snakes are best avoided until you can take them down without getting hit, or you take only one hit near low hp to minimize the effect of Bleed. A few high level monsters that don't inflict statuses may be left alive to pop Trait: Burning Burnings for Davy Jones' 50 Trait: Death Protection Death Protections, along with standard low level popcorn that don't inflict statuses. Keep in mind Swashbuckler strikes last without Glyph: GETINDARE GETINDARE, and always does with Item: Platemail Platemail.

The initial boss trio all have only 238 health and a level catapult can be started at the end of Level 4 or 5. If they are all available, First Nate (Trait: First Strike First Strike) is probably the easiest, followed by Kris the Cook (Trait: Berserks Berserks at 50%). Don't be afraid to use a few potions against the trio if you need to.

Platemail is very strong once you're level 5 or so, and especially versus Davy Jones. Taking it too early may make avoiding Bleed difficult. GETINDARE can be converted when purchasing Platemail, as you will never strike first again.

Item: Dragon Soul Dragon Soul is a strong buy, and Item: Fire Heart Fire Heart is quite viable. Item: Trisword Trisword can be used against the initial boss trio, but won't do much good against Davy Jones.

Subdungeon

In the subdungeon, make the most of blackspace and kill a few more monsters on the main level to not waste too much of it. You will face two Monster: Druid Druids and two Monster: Thrall Thralls, all Level 10. The Thralls in particular are quite squishy and can likely be killed in 2-3 hits, just mind the Trait: Mana Burn Mana Burn and Trait: Poisonous Poisonous, using level ups or God boon: Cleansing Cleansing to clear the effects.

Davy Jones is a long regen fight with 50 layers of Death Protection to get through. Make the most of your blackspace, popcorn, and any remaining Potions and God boon: Protection Protections to pop all of his Death Protections.
