Preparations
You can bring any lockerable item to this challenge from the Guild.
Resources Available
This dungeon has the standard assortment of resources, but no shops. There are three altars, and they are always Mystera Annur,
The Earthmother, and
Tikki Tooki.
Special Rules
The Cultist here revive into
Frozen Corpse instead of
Zombie.
Monsters
Cultist,
Frozen Corpse,
Freezing Wraith,
Vampire,
Burn Viper,
Forgotten Soul,
Animated Armour are all guaranteed to appear.
Monster difficulty is 130%.
Boss
Osiros: Halfling Paladin icon, 97 attack, 685 health,
Undead,
Bloodless,
Physical resist 50%,
Magic resist 50%.
Whenever Osiros is damaged, he gains 10% of the resistance matching the type of damage he was dealt and loses 10%. Neither resistance can go over 90% or below 10% due to this effect.
Strategy
The main challenge here is the boss fight - Osiros has a large health pool and high resistances that you'll need to carefully manipulate to bring him down. Generally, it's easier to kill him if you keep his physical resistances low, since melee attacks do more damage than fireballs generally. For this, a Human Heretic is easiest since you can get large damage to keep the number of hits needed to kill Osiros to a minimum. If you can reach L10 and have enough damage, you may even be able to regen fight him, although not very efficiently.
Proper usage of the gods is key to victory here. The Earthmother is a great starting god if you can get to her - you can take Entanglement for extra XP later and some plants, and then use her free
IMAWAL for better levelling and some stacks of
Vine Form and/or
Greenblood to help with early levelling.
There are several strong ways to use Tikki Tooki here, but worshipping him at level 2 provides a lot of benefits. It gets you
GETINDARE and more indulgences for even better leveling, and you can kill some level 1's and spend money for piety to get
Tikki's Edge and maybe
Dodging if you can afford it. After this, you should be pretty strong and able to take on enemies 2, 3, or 4 levels higher than you for tons of XP (multiplied further by
IMAWAL).
Mystera Annur can be slotted in later when you have spent some mana and will have 60+ piety.
Mystic Balance will give you cheaper fireballs for the boss fight, and it never hurts to have a bit of extra max mana.
As soon as you uncover the boss, you can start spending spare mana fireballing him to get his magic resistance to 90%. Then, you can alternate attacking him and fireballing him to keep his physical resistance low.
Lots of locker preps can help here - anything that improves your damage, like Dwarven Gauntlets, will be helpful, but you can bring any strong item like
Dragon Shield.
