Initially, while the Dangerous Investments is still active, the boss is 
The Banker, Monster stats 80%. As soon as he is revealed, he seals the exit, which prevents escape. Defeating him will spawn a ladder to a special subdungeon, where you will encounter the Elves (as well as find the exit from the dungeon).

Due to the randomization of the boss, there is no single optimal approach to this dungeon. Due to its low difficulty, any class can complete it with a wide variety of different approaches. The greatest difficulty of this dungeon is its tight layout and corridors, which can often leave a character trapped. Using glyphs such as
ENDISWAL or 
WEYTWUT to get around blocking monsters can be very helpful.
